Just played an 8 hour session and dropped 8 buyins..... I was fine until I saw the offer that Fedor and M1 turned down..... NOW I'M ON TILT
07-30-2009 , 04:42 AM
what a blue ball job this is.

what a humungous contract offer.

if that offer is true, then dana and the UFC are cleared of any of the fans ill will about not having fedor- that deal is just huuuuuge and basically too perfect to pass on.

Dana and the Fertittas came to the table, fedor/m1 walked on it- EVERYONE loses.
07-30-2009 , 04:55 AM
Damn that sucks a lot of balls. Really felt like it was going to happen this time.

Ah well, *** 'em.

6fights /30million... and they turn it down :/
man that sucks big time

can any one link me to dana's twitter pls? seems i always follow fake accounts

Like to point out M/1 turned it down not Fedor (I mean he could just leave M1 though as well), its pathetic, Fedor is getting more then he could want, but since M1 cant piggyback/leech off his success they wont sign, such a joke.
07-30-2009 , 07:23 AM
There is no real point in the lamentation and gnashing of teeth until more details shake out guys. A deal may still be possible.

Just a couple things I've heard.

1) The 6 fight/$30m dollars isn't entirely accurate. That's the number Zuffa projects Fedor to make with a % of PPV buys. In addition, I don't think the 6 fights are guaranteed.

2) The biggest issue appears to be the structure of payments. M-1 wants the money to come to THEM and not to Fedor. M-1 would then disburse payment to Fedor (and the rumors are that he would only get 10% of that money, lol). It sounds like a real crooked deal because Fedor's has a 20% equity interest in M-1 Global, and if that's something he wants to invest in, I'm not sure why they don't just agree to the deal and invest it on their own.

lol, wow, M-1 really has Fedor tricked good.

And Dana/any other UFC rep cannot get Fedor into a room with them, right?

And even then it'd be one of his M-1 translators speaking the russian.

Figured this, though I don't see how they could project that. I'm sure Fedor/Brock would make him that much, but I dunno about his future fights (keep in mind Brock made 3 mil last fight)

If it really is true that they only want to give Fedor 10% (which is obviously LOL) then I'm sure Fedor would have told them to GTFO by now. Though there's obviously a ton we don't know about.

what kind of sources do u guys have anyway? what makes you think fedor isnt as much behind this as "mad genius" finkelstein? 10% of his purse goes to himself, lol...

ofc, both M1 and fedor must be quite happy this is the way the rumors are panning out. this way, fedor can be a greedy bastard, blame it all on vadim AND still keep his fanboys happy thinking that fedor has nothing to do with these outlandish demands.
07-30-2009 , 02:24 PM
how much outrage in the MMA world will there be if this fight does not happen?

Fedor speaks English. I feel that if Dana or Lorenzo can get in the same room with Fedor and speak to him directly, things can work out.

Dana White has a history of being a greedy bastard. If Fedor were a greedy bastard and that offer were legit then he obviously would bolt M-1 and take the deal.

There are other issues, such as the champions clause leaving no flexibility for Fedor (he'd have to fight exclusively in the UFC until he loses or retires, not the ideal situation for a guy who has 0 real losses.) And if the 6 fights aren't guaranteed, the UFC is also leaving themselves an out in case Fedor loses quickly.

UFC wants to completely own the market. M-1 wants money. It only makes sense that Fedor's needs/wants have been secondary in this deal getting done

Well M-1 is quite clear on that it is the co-promotion that is the problem. Not some champ-clause.

for gods sake... FEDOR IS A MAJOR SHAREHOLDER IN M-1. there is no difference between Fedors best interest and M-1:s best interest - they are the SAME. how is this not simple enough to understand?

Fedor Press Conference

Vadim says M-1 could make Lesnar the same offer that UFC made to Fedor.

They sell a dvd. It was very good actually. I don't know if you would find it worth it, but there were fascinating things in there to be sure.

they know the co-promotion isn't going to happen, so I highly doubt "negotiations" would be continuing if that was the only issue

stop spewing BS, him being a 20% shareholder does not make them completely the same, the UFC's "offer" if it was legit was more than enough for him to ditch M-1
