Who's staying up to watch DREAM tonight? Shaolin/Aoki, Galvao, and Manhoef are what I'm after.

Perhaps this has been answered previously, but hell, I'll ask anyways-

what advantages/disadvantages do the cage provide for Fedor, seeing as he usually fights in a ring? Does it favor brock? How big of an effect stylistically does it have on either side?

I would think that it hampers fedor.

I think the cage hurts Fedor against Brock because if Brock can get Fedor up against the cage, Fedor will have less room to maneuver into a submission or to escape and get back to his feet. Normally, I've always thought the cage would help Fedor and the use of elbows would REALLY help him out, but against Brock it gives him less room to operate.

brock finished that match, but it was extremely clear that angle was calling it and you can even see that angle made sure to get off quickly on teh 2 count

I don't get HDnet, how can I watch it live, or do I have to wait for it to be put up on daily motion?

Lesnar admitted to "seeing Tweety birds" and he showed no signs of being in any sort of danger.

I've been really confused/interested in all the inferences people are making from moments of standup we saw in this fight.

I'm well aware. That's why I said I miss them. I wouldn't miss someone who was available for viewing.

Carano is awfully cute. How do you guys reckon she is going to do against Cyborg? I hope she stays cute. Cyborg hits awfully hard. Just sayin'.

It's a shame such a beautiful woman has such an ugly first name
07-18-2009 , 03:15 PM
i wouldn't say cyborg is beautiful.

I would give you action if you would be giving me Brock around +210-+220. Even if the fight somehow happens it won't be til like January 2010 most likely so you can PM me about it then.

I don't get why his chin is so suspect now. Didn't he got knocked down by a series of hard combos like 3 times before being finished? That's still an amazing chin. And when you factor in his staph infection before the fight it's even more impressive.

im not locking in any lines at this point until the fight is announced or they are released on a major market, i.e. pinnacle

but when they are i will book any action at whatever the fair vig-free line is

i just think it would be sweet to have action against a large number of lesnar supporters, and plan on booking big action regardless

Ok, now lets compare that to how he was a few years ago. Like his fight against Sapp or Cro Cop. Or in his first fight with Fedor, he took a beating so bad that it was hurting me to even watch it. But he still made it out of all these fights (even winning the first 2 mentioned!). He went from surviving head kicks from Mirko to getting tko'd by Frank Mir. I wouldn't call that impressive.

Guys like Chuck and Wandy used to have great chins. I think Nog is soon to follow in their path.

He got dropped by a series of punches at least twice before getting finished. You don't think that's impression when he's coming off a severe staph infection shortly before the fight? It's obviously not something we'd expect from his old chin, but plenty of other fighters would've been finished way before Nog.
07-18-2009 , 11:58 PM
Too much arguing about chins. The more you get hit, the easier it is to get Ko'd. It even applies to the legendary jaw that is Big nog's. That's why fighters like F. Griffin chins deteriorate quickly and why machida will never get Ko'd in his ***** life. end of discussion
