I have a pair of boots with double leather sole. as mentioned above, I actually find them to be more comfortable than dainite. I just don't wear them in bad weather. when it comes time to resole them, though, I will get something instead of a standard leather sole. rubber or something similar.
Kneel: Know of any shoes similar to Allen Edmonds quality / pricepoint that might come with a dainite sole?
Right now I have/need:
Formal: Cheap black cap toes - want to replace with AE Park Avenue equiv (could probably do leather sole here since they wouldn't be worn as much)
Dressy casual: AE Strand, dark brown - leather sole is fine, also not worn too often
Business casual: J&M Aldrich, dark brown (quarter brogue) - leather sole
Casual: Ugh. Only have clark DB's right now which are super casual.
The main shoe I'd like to find right now is some kind of casual non-sneaker shoe that can be worn with jeans + a button-down, but no blazer. Should have a dainite or similar rubber sole to handle all weather. Thoughts? Was considering these:
Just a dark brown plain toe blucher.
Too boring? I can probably find them for around $180-$200 on sale, so wouldn't mind spending the $25 to add a vibram sole.
I tend to like simpler shoes. Hmmm
