bootcut may not be "in" anymore, but failing to look like everyone else who is "fashionable" is a stupid reason not to wear something.

Another quick suggestion, you might want to try some slip ons:

http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/cat...ctGroup=243462

I have a similar shoe though its a darker brown with a matte finish instead of that creepy gloss look. You might want to root around and see what else you can find in that look. In general I'd just stay away from anything that looks 1) dressy 2) what someone's dad would wear.
I'm 23 so I am definitely trying to avoid that "old man look." I've been looking at the Cole Haan website and there are a lot of shoes that I like. Plus they seem much cheaper compared to other pairs I was looking at. Here are some that I like.

1 Like the shape and design, although it does appear to have that formal shiny look.

2 Really like the dark brown color, although I'm not sure how I feel about the strap.

3 I like these as well.

The buckle on the 2nd pair makes me rage. The others are fine. Though if I had to guess you could find better choices in that Quasimodo brand. Cole Haans are overpriced for the shoe they are.

I like the tan color on the first shoe and would go with that first. You could pair those up with really dark jeans.

i would personally tone down the patterned shiny t's and opt for something more simple/classy as they are a bit on the douchy/young side. not to mention they will really look bad in 3mos when the masses stop wearing them. would also lose the belt on the shorts.

Do they all look alike? I'm of the opinion that the median number of ***** sucked by the average styleforum poster is ~35, so I can't bring myself to look at it except when I'm feeling exceptionally saddened by my appearance.

The last time when I was trying to buy raw denim, I went there since there was a thread about guys with "big legs" some schmuck who is 5 inches taller and >40 lbs heavier posts about his massive legs that are the same size as mine. I threw up a little bit in my mouth and just PMed skunkworks a bunch in lieu of venturing back.

SS,

Stand up straight. You look like a schmuck when you stand all slouched over, unless thats the look your going for. I like the dark jeans and shirt. Std basic MO (Though I don't wear black shirts.) I'd burn those acid washes jeans or relegate them to yardwork or something. Though to be fair I have like 10 pairs of jeans that linger since I'm too lazy to do anything with them. I really like the black shoes. Studly IMO. I hate the two "outfits" you're wearing, but it seems you're more into the hipster/emo thing. Though it doesn't really fit as a unique look. It just kinda looks like a hodgepodge smattering of stuff on your floor, but in a try to hard way. I'm rambling. They suck. Start over.

there is an "accepted" style on styleforum. if you look at the "what are you wearing today" thread you'll see that they all try to mimic this style. and anyone who posts pics of a different style gets ridiculed.

I agree those blue jeans obviously the ones on that strange looking man are too tight.

Why are people being so hostile in this thread. We're talking about clothes people, relax.

Currently wearing: Pokerstars mock-neck with elastic popping out the wrists, disgusting stained express sweatpants, socks that I bought 5 years ago.

Can I wear a bucket hat? The guy at Lacoste said I shouldn't and he was wearing a cardigan so he probably knows his stuff.

But I want one =\

Thank you.

Note: I should start posting in that thread. It'd consist of something like "Well I'm going to walk around naked for the first 2-3 hours of my day. Then I may put on these boxers, or perhaps these jockey shorts. I doubt I will leave the Thremp Cave at any point."

Did u post ur ed hardy on there

Edit: there's a lot of groupthink there, but that doesn't make it too different from here. Pick any strat forum and post about some donk play you made in your awesome home game, and that's pretty much the same reaction you'd get there. It's hitting the post button without figuring out whether this forum is for you. Maybe your expectation is that it's an all-encompassing style forum, but there's no such thing. Plenty of douches there but it's a good resource if you keep your head low and read before you post, just like here. Maybe honestforum is more your thing? They play slowpitch there.

Shorts + Lacoste shoes need ankle socks.

Those shirts are pretty eurotrashy, but not in an awesome Eurotrash the 2p2er way, just the normal kind.

Did you keep the receipt for the Perry Ellis jeans? The light blue ones are coming dangerously close to looking like mom jeans.

The first pair of jeans look nice, but the rest are between okay and bad. Fit pics would confirm it.

Those black shoes are pretty sleek and might look a bit out of place with denim.

French cuff shirts are a little too suit-y to do with denim. They beg for a proper jacket.

The belt on the shorts looks a little out of place. Anything lighter in a similar style?

The denim jacket actually looks all right. Hope it fits.

Pretty sweet fail then huh.

The shorts were on the belt and it turns out they were part of it since the belt said "remove before watching" on the inside.

I took some fit pictures that night but I deleted them to try and save some potential humiliation.

I'm going back to the mall tomorrow since they give me free tailoring at Neiman Marcus and I forgot/need to get it. I'll take pics after that.

Here's what I wore tonight, hopefully better than what I showed in earlier pics? I had belt and shirt rest is new

Are you going for the Seinfeld look with jeans and white sneakers? I don't think I've ever seen it pulled off by anyone else.

Jeans and shirt are going to be all about the cut and how they look on you. It's hard to judge the belt since nothing is going to go with the shoes IMO.

SS,

There is light at the end of the tunnel. Just keep walking towards it. But seriously. Stop with the silly jeans. The white shoes are meh. I tried it myself with dark jeans, realized I looked like a dildo and they've sat in the back of my closet.

I like fabric belts and the shirt seems okay (hard to tell? Its a shirt).

To further expand on what is wrong with the jeans. They're 1) A horrid color 2) They look like a horrid one size fits all mess. Which is fine if your body is a horrid one size fits all mess. But I don't think its the case.
