Am I missing something? Where are you seeing the Seconds Sale, and/or Brooks Brother AEs?

Thanks for heads up. I actually had just ordered some Alden Long Wing Bluchers at... I don't remember exactly, but a lot more than $229. I'll get the Strands and compare them side by side.

Hey gents, looking for a recommendation for khaki's. Recently I ordered a couple pair of dockers and they are too tight in the thigh area. Believe this a combination of gaining weight and maybe how the pants are designed. I ordered 34x36

Currently have - 34x36 of Classic Fit Easy Khaki Pants D3 - http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/d...2%26slotId%3D2

I'm thinking of stepping up to 36x36 to gain more room in the thigh / butt area. Are flat front / permanent crease Khaki's fashionable? I've been looking at these which seems to have more diversity in sizes.

http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/d...7%26slotId%3D2

Will going 36x36 (opposed to 34x36) give me more room in the thigh are or just the waist. Also, recommendations under $50 are welcome.

Everything under $50 is basically the same, just go to the gap

Buy athletic fit bonobos chinos when they're on sale. I've gotten pairs as low as $30-$35 and they can be had for $60-$70 often

This is what I would say. Probably going to have to wait until May or June to get them for a really good price. The end-of-season sale is still going right now, but sizes/options are sparse. But if what you want is chinos and not necessarily khaki in color, here's some nice burgundy athletic fit in 35/36 that you can steal for $28.80 plus tax. I looked and those are the only athletic fit left in the sale in 34-36 waist among all their different styles/colors.

Never been a fan of Dockers. Gap was solid a few years back.

TR:

Strands are definitely very nice, but too dressy for what I was looking for, in some ways. The color, brouging (?) pattern, and everything about the Aldens were nicer while at the same time also looking a bit less formal, which is great for me, personally. I feel like I could wear them anywhere, even with jeans which was a big factor as I wear jeans about half the time, to work, etc.

I couldn't identify anything at all wrong with the Strands that I got from Shoebank, and returning them was easy.

Cliffs: This pair of Alden longwings beat out these AE Strands for my need, despite a steep price difference and a nice sale price of $229 for the Strands.

Thinking of getting a custom leather jacket from Thurston-Bros and was curious what everybody thought between these two:

Vanson Model F in the brown pictured on the right or cordovan (probably getting rid of one or both of the breast pockets):

Aero Plainsman in brown or the cordovan pictured:

Can you get it custom made with the front of the first one minus the breast pockets, but the back of the bottom one? That's how I like it.

If I could only choose one brand/shop from which to buy clothing the rest of my life, needing to fill a full and diverse wardrobe but also still needing to pay for everything, it would be Epaulet. I don't think there's any other place that has more of what I want in everything -- sneakers, sweaters, cardigans, dress shoes, casual shirts, dress shirts, suits, trousers, chinos, belts, t-shirts, jeans -- with quality collaborations for decent prices, especially come sales. They recently opened a showroom in LA to go with their one in NY, though I wish it were downtown or even central rather than right by the beach. Just got this Stark-like cardigan in burgundy for an amazing $110. It's still available in small (tagged medium).

Just got my Yeezy zebras from Adidas, size 10. Going to put on eBay tomorrow, so if anyone is interested, just message me on here and I can send or upload some pics. I know it's not the marketplace, but I figured this would be the best place for this.

This thread has really died! Epaulet having a sale for closing its Manhattan store in its move to LA. Take an additional 30% off sale items with code SALE-30-CLEARANCE.

The steal of the sale is this suede jacket for $235.

I used to swear that I'd never wear Common Projects. As someone whose great great grandfather and great great uncle were killed in the Holocaust, I'm not too keen on being marked with serial numbers. But this pair of CP Achilles low caught my eye for matching USC's school colors. Retail for $410 but copped them for $215. Not an amazing deal, but about what you'd hope for on these. Happy to say they fit well.

Thanks, homie. I've been waiting for a good deal on some chelseas, and the Carver boots look nice. I just hope they're not too slim a profile. Narrow chelseas look silly on a guy. I also wish they were goodyear welted, but $180 still seems like a steal.
