My bad, misunderstood you.

Couldn't potential problem be that some guys decide to fight somewhat dehydrated because they think being lighter that way is advantage for them regardless, and risk their health/life?
10-13-2017 , 02:30 PM
Yes. That's always the logical counter-argument.

Random weigh-ins mitigate that.
10-13-2017 , 04:03 PM
Explain the idea behind that being an advantage? I'm not saying it doesn't make sense but I don't get it. Seems to me that logically the less dehydrated the better in the cage.

Prior to the Kevin Lee fight I figured tony was a solid favorite. Seeinghim get dropped again tho, it's probably pretty close.

As always the game plan against mcgregor will be a huge deal. If tony is in there in the first round being careless and crazy good chance he gets tkod. If hes smart and careful and tries to kick/grapple I think he should he the favorite. It's pretty clear you really just need to survive the first two rounds against conor without getting destroyed in them to win.
10-14-2017 , 08:59 AM
i was kinda surprised at how high tony holds his chin in striking exchanges. that's maybe/probably been something that he's always done but man, seems like conor is pretty well suited to capitalize on that leak
10-14-2017 , 03:02 PM
i feel like tony could eat all conors punches and lose a round or 2 then come back and finish diaz style. conor has OK cardio but its not the best, tony has ungodly cardio and an iron chin.

Tony is pretty worthless at striking defense, but he's huge, and Conor doesn't have one punch KO power, he's got that cumulative sludgehammer power.

If 200 lb Tony can weather the storm, he may make a fight out of it, but Conor seems like the solid favorite here.

Such a sick fight. Two super aggressive beats who go after it ( when lawler ain't taking rounds off )

If this doesn't end in RDA getting KO'd in the first this should be absolutely amazing.
Great fight. Any idea what you expect the line to open up at? Or who you think is the favorite?

UFC president Dana White said Friday that the winner of Robbie Lawler vs. Rafael dos Anjos will be welterweight champ Tyron Woodley’s next title challenger.

Which I think is well deserved, both former champions who do not have boring fights imo.

Wonderboy already had 2 recent opportunities (dont wanna see a 3rd with woodley anytime soon) and Masvidal took the L against Maia in his last fight.

I dunno I thunk it'll be close to even, maybe lawler -130ish. Usada and all t he wars have taken their toll on him and he's not the same guy. He had a pretty close fight with cerrone, and despite his improvements I think rda is still better than cerrone. Also much harder to hit

Absolutely incredible brawl on Showtime now, FOTY contender through six.
10-14-2017 , 10:45 PM
I mean, who the **** "actually" one punch knocks out people at 145.

nobody, except arguably McGregor.

Even 155. He's definitely the hardest puncher in the ufc history at 155 and below, so we'll see how Tony handles that if his chin is showing too much.

Tony by sub round 1 or Conor round 1 by KO is super likely.

"Conor doesn't have one punch KO power" things we heard in 2017...

Does anyone know about Tony Ferguson promo where some oldschool song was playing, words included 'hurricane'? I wonder what was the song :P
10-15-2017 , 04:49 PM
to be fair hes only shown his 155 power to eddie, which was a nice tko.

diaz i guess too, not even close to ko tho, just busted his face up like always.

but we will see how tonys chin holds up, i think he will do OK.
