it's def all about the money. people always forget (myself included) that ultimately the UFC's main income is selling advertising.
they aren't going to get the big big advertisers if the perception of their sport is a bunch of roided up meatheads punching each other. now that the fighters are tested above and beyond any other pro athletes it's tough to make that claim.
i think they're spending something like 10 mil per year on USADA which is peanuts if they think it will help lead to landing a very large advertiser.
