Book update. Meeting my editor in Sydney next month who is coming over from the USA. We're going to sort out the final details of the book. The 2nd draft is coming on really well, I'm very happy with it. Much better than the first draft, so for those of you who remember the part of it that I posted way back in the thread and may have been discouraged, it isn't anything like that any more. Our focus has been to get it back to the essence and the voice of the original thread.

I'll find out on a timeline in about a month or so.

On the pacing, I've been really surprised at the difference between the first and second draft, as I've never done this before. The first draft just turned out to be a long-winded outpouring of everything that happened. The second draft has been all about picking out the actual parts that make a story and rewriting them completely to convey a feeling and a mood.

Ok, here's a big update. The second draft is done and I've sent it to my editor for him to work his magic. Cut it down from 120,000 words to just over 92,000, but basically I rewrote the entire thing from the ground up. I'm happy with it, really happy actually. Damn it feels good to write this right now. The only thing that will feel better is if I can write in the future that it has been accepted. Thanks for all your support. I know I didn't reply to everyone but every post helped me.
