Ellroy's L.A. Confidential (not last 10 years but still reasonably
contemporary).
I liked The Passage by Justin Cronin. The first half is ridiculously gripping; it tails off some but is still pretty good, esp if you like apocalyptic fiction.
Hitch-22: Christopher Hitchens' autobiography. The man is a master of prose, and his articulation of his own irreconcilable inconsistencies is thought-provoking.

have been reading "thinking, fast and slow" by daniel kahneman. definitely a must-read for anyone interested in psych/behavioural economics type stuff.
