Yeah they are 750s I think I’m going to grab them. If nothing else I can treat my super beer nerd friends to something nice.

Can I get some recommendations for good beer glasses? I prefer "nice" looking ones over kitschy type stuff. I also would love something over 16oz. I like the look of Libby tulips but they're too small and I already have some.

I had a Duvel that I loved, it was huge, the glass was thick, but I can't seem to find them for less than $18/each and I *hate* glasses with logos on them.

90% of my beer consumption are lagers so I'm almost always grabbing a bubbled stein or pilsner glass but my favorite IPA glass is definitely the diamond balloon. Big enough for an entire 16 oz can w/head and the design leads to a really smooth pour which lends itself especially well to a NE style IPA. In my experience they usually go for about $10 at the breweries that use them and looks like they go for a bit under $4 per glass when buying a dozen online: https://www.katom.com/634-7515.html?...gaAhpoEALw_wcB

Those are great, Amazon has them for $78 for a dozen so thanks for the link, too.

They look pretty similar to oversized white wine glasses which is exactly what I drink out of most of the time now anyways.

RIP my Duvel 8(

...4 Hands and O'Fallon?

StL in general has a great beer scene, those two included. Love Schlafly, but my favorite is Urban Chestnut. They just kill it and honestly are often what I aspire to.

Only the bottom are even STL. Haha

Where is the Narrow Gauge and Perennial?

Moving to Chicago from St. Louis has done wonders for my beer scene. Especially in the Hazy IPA department. Does anyone in STL even make good hazies OTHER THAN Narrow Gauge?

I did love that KBS Mackinac Fudge though. Good stuff!

I am aware that most aren't from STL. My point being that I was able to walk into a rando small pop store at 11pm and find these just chilling out.

Narrow Gauge kills it btw. Side Project as well.

A little beer mail today, some new stuff to try, thoughts on any of it?

Was lucky to get this Perennial stout in VA last week. Pretty good! Glad to be back in stout season.

Tavour is expensive but great for finding out of the way beers. Phase 3 out of Chicago fantastic recently

Tavour is based in Seattle so pre pandemic used to be able to just swing buy and pickup instead of paying for shipping. Still doesn't make anchorage cheap but it made it slightly easier to justify. Trying to only buy local these days.

P3 and Hop Butcher are where it's at in Chicago for hazies at least.

Snagged these two up from Hop Butcher tonight.

The top is new and a collab with Bottle Logic. Sold out in 20 minutes at the place I got it from. The bottom (new to me) will be T-2nd for best beer I've drank out of 1958 I've drank on Untappd based on global ratings.

And now cracking an "Emperor Fallen Flag" from Narrow Gauge. That's currently 7th on my list.

Joe IPA from 10 Barrel Brewing. Excellent bright, hoppy aroma and taste. Highly recommended.

I've been in Miami a lot the past few months and happy to say the beer scene is a lot better here than it used to be. Unseen Creatures has really good IPAs. Same at J Wakefield, which is a great place to hang out too. Spanish Marie was maybe a notch below those two, but still pretty good.

Just stumbled across this thread.

If anyone's around downtown Louisville, Bluegrass Brewing Company is right downtown, across from the Yum! Center (arena) to the south.

Happened across it this weekend. Staying a few blocks away and was just out for a walk.

Really enjoyed their Irish Red (seasonal) and Altbier. I'd guess they have about 10 on the menu, with a couple seasonals.

J Wakefield still not let you have a glass outside? I don't want to drink my beer out of a plastic cup

Ah, yeah, I definitely didn't see anyone outside with an actual glass, so I assume that's still the rule.

I found myself in Seattle for the Superbowl. I selected Reuben's Crushable to bring to the Party. It was a wise decision indeed. Place this one in the "As Advertised" file; it lived up to its name and was the perfect beverage for the event. Consumed at a pace of 2 per quarter allowed me to maintain a nice buzz without sacrificing on flavor. I don't know about you ballers, but usually 8 IPAs is death wish for me. Hungover with diarrhea is no way to go through life, but I was able to drink these without repercussions.

Now that really is a bummer! I’ve loved Anchor Steam for more than thirty years.
