Man this year sucked for me. I liked maybe five albums.

That's TWFM for me. Nothing even close.

Love hip hop and didn't like Yeezus. I think Run the Jewels is better myself, and understand that probably puts me in the minority.

I could never endorse that sort of lyrical quality for an album of the year.

Pretty sure I like Danny Brown's last one way more than Yeezus also.

The film-clip is pretty lame but this is a great track.

Probably my favorite song of the year. Agree that the video sucks (especially because the song has such specific imagery that isn't referenced at all).

I just recently stumbled across this, haven't had time to give them a full listen but it sounds really promising.

I'm glad you saw this and mentioned it. I couldn't get the youtube link to display properly (I'm a noob), and I figured no one would click on it bc of that. I still think the album is pretty great

Yeah, it's now close to the top of my list of 2013 stuff to check.

Next time, you can post it like a video like this:

Though just posting a link is fine too, actually imo it's preferable.

New Burial is next level.

Just mind-blowing.

Warpaint's Biggy, posted above, is mindblowinger (and better).

Huh, that Jason Isbell (previously in Drive-by Truckers) album that's getting put in a ton of year end lists sounds pretty great on first listen. If you like Ryan Adam's quieter albums you'll most likely love it, otherwise you should probably stay away.

When I've seen pics of him in lists I've thought the author had confused him with Win Butler.

dude looks like a cross between Win Butler and the guy who gets his nuts blown off in Inglourious Basterds
