Something a bit out of the ordinary for this sound. Give it a few mins to build up:

The stuff going on in the second half of the second is many degrees more complex/interesting than typical Iberican house.

huh, didnt say its typical iberican house.

Never been to Zurich, but partied in Berlin a lot. Didn't hear much like that tbh. It's far more Spanish. You'd here that a lot in Ibiza.

todd terje is omnipresent atm, and he played at panoramabar and so on.
2011 was pretty minimal in ibiza, 2012 back to house lile everywhere.

Going to see MS MR and CSS tomorrow! Anyone seen them? Thoughts on what they sound like live?

Hoping this isn't a "it's so bad, I just get it" kind of reply. There are a some decent tracks; some I haven't listened to more than twice and probably won't again. Disagree?

I saw CSS live at a festival few years ago and remember it being good fun; imagine MS MR would be the same!

New Slaves, Black Skinhead and Bound 2 are all excellent. The middle part of the album I am hit or miss on.

slight brag: I get to see Matthew E White, Local Natives, and The National live tomorrow. I like what I heard from this Matthew White guy from a few posts ago, so this should be a strong show. I'm pretty excited about it.

Also for those that care, a new Sigur Ros is out. I'm about halfway through and so far it's solid.

I love it. It's sonically incredible, really exciting and visceral, it sounds unreal on headphones, nearly hard to listen too at times as there's so much going on, it's kind of exhausting and seems a much longer listen than the time it clocks in.

Unlike Pudge I love the middle section, I think the run from, and including, New Slaves to Blood On The Leaves is the best twenty minutes of music you'll hear this year.

Love that he put Bound 2 as the closer, basically a **** you to all the people who keep going on about going back to the "old, vintage" Kanye. It's like it's too easy for him to make songs like that anymore.

It's my album of the year by some margin.

After the first listen, I've been pretty underwhelmed by the album a couple tracks aside. However I do agree that it SOUNDS amazing.

I haven't had the chance to listen to it on headphones yet and the middle is growing on me the more I listen to it.

Blood on the leaves is amazing. Black Skinhead is my fav track, just love the beat

I think the Kurt Vile album is my favourite and most played of the year.

Getting around to listening to the knife album.

Liking Mount Kimbie album.

Like Vondelpark album. (thx pimmelsau)

This song is from last year but I feel it hasn't been linked - and if it has, it's worth repeating. amazing.

meh, too much autotune in yeezus. and not in a MBDTF kinda way. it's just too much.
loved blood on the leaves though.
btw, is "on sight" really that weird or did I download a 64k file? it's like white noise, just terrible.

I'd agree it sounds a lot better on headphones and, before I listened, I did slate the fact it is only ~40 mins total, but given how... uneasy some of it is to listen to, I would agree there too.

It's grown on me after a few more listens to be honest. Hold My Liquor and Blood on the Leaves are probably my two favourite songs.

In other news, Mac Miller's album is officially released June 18th too but with Born Sinner and this, I've not had chance to listen to it yet. Apparently it's quite good.

Born sinner is way too long, just like his debut
