Do you guys know of any good music blogs? I'm not talking about the big name .com sites—the Pitchfork- and ConsequenceofSound-type stuff—but rather Blogger/Wordpress sites maintained by well-written, knowledgeable people. I've found upwards of a couple dozen in my other areas of interest, but only a couple so far for music.

New Bowie song:

And new David Bowie album released in March. I'm sorta excited. I really enjoyed Heathen and Reality (and saw him on the Reality tour), but hoping this song isn't *truly* representative, since it's sounds a bit of "been there, done that".

as if i wasn't already excited enough for the new iceage (New Brigade was my favorite album of 2011 after Kaputt), they release this as the first song off the album:

less post-, more punk, let's goooo.

This review of Rolling Stone's 2012 year-end list made me laugh out loud a few times:

Titus Andronicus decided to suck in a third of the time it took for Liars to make the same decision, so that’s pretty good.

Couple random songs that caught my attention:

A slow builder...

Torres - Honey

This one has a Ryan Adams feel:

I liked their Vs EP. Check it out if you like the three songs here.

Sounds good. Which is no surprise if they're signed by Fueled By Ramen. Love many of their bands.

Okay, I just absolutely love them. Listening through the album the second time around, been looking at YouTube clips... Right up my alley. Yet, something totally new.

They also seem like a great live band. Show elements, the singers got a really personal style of singing and performing (I love his voice, check out Can't Help Falling In Love in YouTube. Beautiful tone.) and he does some insane jumps from towers of amps.

Definitely going to be a big year for them. Tell them to come to Finland.

I feel like saying that I bought the Macklemore/Ryan Lewis CD and its pretty damn good. Would definitely recommend if you like hip hop.

Yeah not sure why Pimm and Wain are lol'ing. While I'm not a big hip hop scenester, outside of Killer Mike and El-P I haven't had much to be excited about in the last year and the Macklemore/Ryan Lewis album is great, IMO.

Though, as a 30+ year music fan I am very familiar with the razor-thin line between fresh/good/cool and stale/lol/commercial, so I imagine this album may be walking that line.

It was crazy to see Mumford & Sons at Lolla in 2010 with 200 other people thinking they were amazing... and then by the time they played Coachella in 2011 there were 10 year olds wearing their merch because they loved the song they heard on Gossip Girl.
