The Well: DiggerTheDog

A stranger is being shown around a village that he has just become part of. He is shown a well and his guide says "On any day except Monday, you can shout any question down that well and you'll be told the answer" .

The man seems pretty impressed, and so he shouts down: Why not on Monday? and the voice from in the well shouts back: Because on Monday, itís your day in the well.

As I missed My adept status change and probably shouldnt be doing an in-depth post for the sake of newbie Bankrolls, I thought I will do a Well

TheDog is from 'downunder' is a 30 Something male.

Not sure I am breaking any 2+2 protocol by [I]Welling [I] so soon. But Just hope this aint the driest Well in 2+2 history

Fire away!

1) How's live poker down under? (quantity and law).
2) There's a lot of Dutch backpackers who visit Australia, you ever played against one?
3) What are your 3 biggest improvements since you started reading and posting on 2+2?

What's your plan for moving up to NL100?

#hands at NL50 and winrate (or graph)

In your opinion, name the top 5 toughest NL50 regs?

Where were you in the poker world one year ago, where do you want to be one year from now?

What part of Australia do you live? How do you like it? (I've always wanted to visit - not you, the country)

Favorite American TV shows?

Live Poker Down under

Cash Games are restricted to Casinos - I live In Sydney which has only one casino - there are not many tables between 20-30
Most of the tables are Holdem but there are a Manila/Omaha tables if enough interest in shown by the 50+ Greek/Australians
there are good 5-10 fixed and 10-20 fixed

The NLHE - max buyin $80 all the way to $5000
They Have regular $300 buyin tournies and The APPT final is here.
The game I used to play alot was essentially a shortstack structure of $200 buyin with 5-5 SB BB so 40BB
The Other good game is the 200min Buyin - $500 buyin game but that is only really soft on weekends otherwise its a mixture of lowlifes and rock garden regulars.

Dutch backpackers No sorry - but backpackers populate alot of the nightlife scene in Sydney but most are from UK and Ireland.

My biggest improvement since two plus two - is learning to protect my big starting hands preflop and on the flop better.
Use and Understanding of HUD - this is a work in progress.
Better appreciation of how to build a pot - but again still a work in progress.

I am a Child of Moneymaker.
I played a fair bit at Pokerroom and PartyPoker 5yrs back - where I would buyin cash games with 20% of my bankroll and have absolutely no idea - Somehow I was able to get by but was a serious donkey but not a serious donater either.
Advice is to read the archived threads and the links provided by 2+2ers with huge post counts and long time at 2+2.
To put an effort into your posts - more you put in the better and dont be discouraged if your first posts do not get a lot of responses but persist.
By Tracking software and make an effort into finding out how to use it.
And remember that alot of live poker experience you have will be completely upside down to moderately decent online poker.
And you only play at a level your bankroll can sustain. As I am not a heavy consistent winner drill this one into your brain

built my bankroll since play 2+2 playing nit poker 12-18 tables
How many hours a day ?
I tend to only get 4 hrs broken up into two or three mini sessionsDo you work or is poker your profession ?
I have been off work caring for a terminally ill parent.

What do you average profit wise per month, without bonuses ?Around 700 but am down/breakeven this last month with game adjustment (opening game up)
What level are you ? Gold, Plat, SN ? Platinum and about 60+% towards SN
Who are the 3 toughest opponents for you ? Apart from the times I used to tilt 12 months ago and get spat out at 200NL and 400NL playing weak tight.. I will exclude those E.uphori.cism. Zi Val (2+2) Ez_money1094u30
Who are the 3 weakest for you ? Ahh hard one to say - as they prolly read this forum - but if you are 50NLer its pretty common knowledge who they are - and you never know it might be me.....

Thanks.

My plan is to have three consistent winning months and be havily overrolled and playing non nit poker. This means its prolly not any time soon
#hands at NL50 and winrate (or graph) 200K+ but only about 80K worth counting - lifetime including a couple of years non 2+2 1bb/100 - since 2+2 about 4bb/100 avg tables played around 14
In your opinion, name the top 5 toughest NL50 regs? Well The 3 I mentioned in other post I could add another 2+2ers that I see every now and then but I tend to avoid them if I am paying attention + the almost never pay me off so if that counts. An AIM/2+2 lurker would be in there who has eyes in his SN.Where were you in the poker world one year ago, where do you want to be one year from now? One year ago heavy cash donater and pretty ok tourney/sng player. One year from now I hope to have plugged enough leaks and have control of my sick monkey tilting tendencies - to be pretty confident that aside from downswongs I have a fairly standard 2+2 TAG game. Thats the goal and purpose of me being in this forum apart from social aspects.
What part of Australia do you live? How do you like it? (I've always wanted to visit - not you, the country) Sydney Australia - 1 Hr drive from the beach. Expensive to live but a free country living in boom times. Have been here most of my life excluding 2 yrs living in US.
Favorite American TV shows? I am a big believer in TVs only decent use is for Sport and News/Current events. But I do like shows like The Shield, Third Watch, Sopranos and the Old Law and Order if in the mood. Reality TV is a curse on humanity

Meh digger I consider you a regular and I don't really think it should be a big deal who does a well. We don't want the forum flooded with them but we haven't had one in awhile and I don't really think it matters.

PPL are just being grumps IMO.

Can you tell us the three biggest changes to your game (since 2+2) that has turned you from marginal to a winning player?

What concept is the most important for transitioning from mtts to cash?

what are you aiming to work on next?

What do you still think you need work on?

How far ahead will our team be of the rest?
