Turning TPTK into a bluff

Villain is a TAG, not much more info on him, the other player was a fish, that's why i decided to lead OTF,
as played, i thought he was valuebetting AQ/KQ, and we both couldn't have many straights on this situation, so i decided to check-raise him as a bluff, also sometimes if he decided to hero call we could split the pot if he didn't have a better kicker

is this a nice check-shove OTR?

don't you like the river play?
do you think regs would call off TP here too often? and how much of those times do you think it would be a split or a worse kicker from him?

Op reps literally nothing, not even 1 single combo of hands plays like this lol. Bad bluff for that reason, people hero a lot when you rep nothing. Do you agree Rapidesh? I might bump a couple more of these, they are much more educational than 'should I fold tptk' threads lol.

Re: Turning TPTK into a bluff

I don't see the value in c/r river here. I don't think enough lesser TPs call to justify a raise, and no way anything better like 77, 86s, or even AQ is gonna fold. I don't see QJ/QT calling too often. You might get another KQ to fold but you're only getting half pot extra.

Re: Turning TPTK into a bluff

Your check-raise all-in needs to succeed more than 54.2% of the time. You may very well get KQ to fold. Some of the time I think you'll get AQ to fold, but I expect there to be full houses that you are running into here that are not going anywhere.

QQ, 77, 55, 75s, 54s, 86s, missed draws and bluffs also arrive at this river. Granted, you can discount some of these because some may raise flop or bet bigger on turn, but they are still in our opponent's range.

You are also blocking the hands you are intending to bluff which is not good. A better hand to bluff here would be a 7x hand. You block houses and get more folds from the hands you are bluffing out.

The river check-raise is a very scary play that can make some decent regs auto-over-fold. I can also see some players wondering why you wouldn't check-raise the turn instead of the river. They may end up putting you on a spade draw and call you off or just say "**** it" and call.

In a best case scenario where he folds all AQ and KQ, we get 8 + 6 = 14 combos of folds. We are still getting called by QQ, 77, 55, 75s, 54s, 86s which is about 1 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 14. There are bluffs too, but can't be too many since it was 4-way on the flop. 14:14 is about 50% so not looking all that great even in a best case scenario.

If you try this bluff with 76s or 87s you'll probably get better results. Even then though, it would be debatable.

Let me guess, villain called and showed AQ?
I still don't see why you are making this play with your specific hand.
