    Now that i think about it - we virutally don't improve on the turn. We still lose to everything that beat us on the flop. He can't have AA-KK and we still lose to KJ and sets. Could i fold trips on the turn though? And if i call - can i fold river? I seem commited.

    Hand 2 :

    We have 0 hands on V, he just joined the table.

    Looking at the first hand can I ask what confused you?

    Pre is standard obviously.

    Otf The CB is good.

    V's c/r is suss, i'm not sure how often an almost disciplined NL2er does that with low equity hands. Its not often in the playbook, id say strong combi draws, strong made hands now comprise his range.

    So by here how many made hands are you beating?

    Id give a calling range something like this;

    JJ-66,AQo-ATo,KQo-KJo,QJo,JTo,AJs,KQs-KTs,QJs-QTs,JTs,T9s,98s,[50]A5s-A2s[/50]

    then after the c/r;

    JJ-99,AQo-AJo,KQo-KJo,QJo,JTo,AJs,KQs-KJs,QJs-QTs,JTs,T9s,Ah5h,Ah4h,Ah3h,Ah2h,[50]9h8h[/50]

    Hero is 43% vs this range, getting

    Pot odds
    Pot Call Ratio %
    0.53 0.2 2.65:1 27.40%

    So a call is mathematically correct here given the price, but calling and knowing what to do on the turn given Vs actions is important.

    I know hitting the Q looks great but V's continued aggression for me drops most of the draws from their range. And out of the made hands that get here we only beat KQ,QJ and draw with AQ. We're 34% here.

    TT-99,AQo,KQo-KJo,QJo,KQs-KJs,QJs-QTs

    Pot odds
    Pot Call Ratio %
    1.13 0.4 2.83:1 26.14%

    Again a plus EV call but this is given our potential to boat up. Given the brick on the river our hands Equity goes down to roughly 17%. And a third barrel is screaming strength. It may well exclude some worse trips - which would make s a bigger dog.

    Pot odds
    Pot Call Ratio %
    2.54 1.01 2.51:1 28.45%

    I don't think you're ahead here enough. regardless of everything else Villains actions polarise their range. c/r b b all in. Tough to be ahead by the end.

    So to recap since I babel;

    Pre is fine
    flop id call the c/r
    turn id highly consider folding but call given odds/implied odds to boat up
    River fold
