I bet here to target 88 and stubborn A-highs, and also as a blocking bet. But I don't think I like this, as so many of his 6x combos now beat us. Maybe it's still good just as a blocking bet to avoid getting bluffed off the hand?

You have to bet the river here for value, if you don't your missing out on so much value, that we can't help you. "My biggest enemy is me, and even I can't stop me".

I was wasted when I posted this ffs, wish I would stop doing dumb ****. This isn't is a bad bet, but imagine most the population isn't value betting here. It being a 3 bet pot this should be a check, unless you have some good reads, fish can definitely and will call with worse.

Preflop, I think call vs. raise is actually a pretty interesting decision. You probably have a range advantage, but against TAGs who like to bet-fold, the 3bet may be giving him the info he's looking for to get out of the way, whereas flatting could induce a lot of bluffs that you could get value from. But if he's going to stick around with his weak stuff and call down, then 3betting is great.

Small point, but I think you could probably size the flop cbet up to maybe $15-16. With a half pot cbet, overcards that have position aren't really making a big mistake by calling. I think it's generally good to make plays that put your opponents in position to make (big) mistakes. And I could definitely see overcards calling $15-16 on this board.

I don't see what checking the turn accomplishes. If you're against TT+, I suppose it may save you a little bit of money, but I think TT+ is a small part of your opponents range. Versus all of the overcards, by checking, a) I think you forgo value , and b) you give them a free card. Plus, you may get them to call a small river shove with ace high if they miss. So I like betting the turn on the small side.

There really aren't many made hands your opponent could have that would call on the river. As you say, a lot of 6x beat us, which only really leaves 88, A7s, T7s, 97s, 87s, and perhaps some ace highs. Whereas you lose to 77, 66, 55, 44, 33, A4s, 76s, 75s, 65s, 64s, 65s, maybe TT+ that is looking to let you barrel with somewhat short stacks. It could change things a bit if you would eliminate some of that stuff from Villain's preflop range, but that's somewhat tough to do versus a button open, so I like a check here.

This looks good to me. You are also getting value out of his two pair hands which are counterfeited to your two pair of 9s and 3s.

I’d use 99 as a call here vs a tight rfi, if I’m 3B it’s bigger. 4x at least oop.

On the flop we can CB smaller. The time to get value with 99 here is the turn, once we hit the river getting good action becomes a lot more difficult. Fish won’t pay off busted flush draws and will even see how connected this board is and find a fold. Targeting 88 is fine but for every 88 combo villain has a TT and possibly JJ. I do like the river sizing though.
