Is anyone taking or considering taking this course? I'm basement micro losing player, so even $5 per week seems like a lot, when playing .01-.02 zoon nl. I emailed asking them about possible beta style trial, but they were not interested.
if you're a losing player I'd play the regular tables rather than the zoom tables. Zoom is great for volume but at 2nl your goal should be to improve and move up not maximise volume.
With regard to your question there should be more than enough free content out there to beat 2nl. The trickiest thing is not getting lost in all of the information. If you're losing at 2nl then I'd search for videos on "hand selection" and "value betting" to start off.
I'm considering it. I'm a decent low-stakes player, probably a small winner, but feel like I want my understanding to grow. For $5 a week, it might be worth it to me.
lofcuk, maybe you're playing $.01/.02 now, but what if you want to move up? What if you have a chance to play some live $1/2?
I think it might be worth $5/week to me just because I enjoy poker as a hobby and it would be fun to be better at it.
It's already been said but blackrain79 has a free book around 50 pages, super short read but very good information. Another book that I couldn't recommend more is The Grinders Manuel by Peter Clarke, a plethora of information starting with the basics and gearing up to more advanced concepts. It's pricey at $57 on Amazon, or you can do what I did and signed up for Scribd free 30-day trial, which has the book for free, just cancel your membership sub before the 30 days is up.
