Against most opponents, I do not think I am folding here, but I also think that the quality of my play against an opponent that shows a lot of strength is one of my biggest leaks right now (not folding enough). Real-time, I figured EP's 4-bet range is fairly small given our positions (not a steal situation) and because of the loose caller behind me, so I decided to fold here.
After the fact thoughts:
EP's unopened PFR from early is 13.5% (95/705), approximate range (55+, A8s+, KJs+, QTs+, JTs, ATo+, KJo+).
If I estimate EP's 4-bet range as QQ+, I think folding is the right answer. If I add AKs and AKo, I am not sure how to play most flops that are J high or less, so folding is still probably right for me.
I think 3-bet pre-flop is fine, although I am not sure if the amount is appropriate. I estimate EP's calling range as (JJ-88,AQs,AQo). So 22% of the time we are seeing a flop where I have 77% equity, 63% of the time EP folds, and 16% of the time I am facing a 4-bet from EP. This ignores the other players left to act, but 3-bet appears to be +EV and easier for me to play compared to just calling.
Thank you in advance for your comments on my play or thought process.
