How would you play this hand? Can we call river?
On the flop i think we are wawb. I checked to let V improve their hands to get some value on turn and river.

Flop is good.
Turn is good.
River is good if you fold. It's possible he has hearts but our odds suck and I doubt he's spazzing enough to make this a profitable call.

When you have QQ on this board MW you need to realise your hand is a bluffcatcher. Checking flop is good imo but not because you want to let villains improve.

I guess you must be near top of range OTR as your Kx and FDs probably bet flop (edit: maybe not FDs actually) but when these generally passive whales take this strong line i tend to think theyre nutted and don't mind overfolding.

What about C-Betting the flop here, and pot controlling on the Turn or River? Plenty of hands can call here that you have beat, and if they do call it says much more about their range, than a check. Also since it's multiway I think you should play your hand in a more face up manner, especially since the board is wet. More opponents holding a K would check/raise this board as opposed to smooth calling. I think the majority of Villains would check/call with their FD and some PP below TP combos, whereas any opponent holding a K would opt to Raise since they want charge the flush draws. Some opponents would check/raise their FDs but I think much more opt to check/call.

Having said that by the River it's definitely a great fold. This paticular situation really isn't all that great because of the board-run out and V made a large bet. Large Bets like that are almost always I have the nut hand regardless of it's 3OAK or their 92o that hit the straight on the river. That's been my experience.

I think checking flop is good in that we should expect to see a large amount of Kx flatting from the blinds, although it's worth mentioning AK would likely 3b and we block KQ hard. I still think checking back is best, but I could be convinced otherwise. SB and BB will be weighted towards smaller pairs and suited connector type hands that we can get value from, and I think what IcURcardss is saying about Kx raising is fair, maybe these guys are heavily unbalanced towards value when raising flop, in which we can adjust by including more of these type hands in a betting range.

AP, I think flatting turn is best, we're too high up in range, clubs and hearts can turn into bets on turn, so I think we'll definitely have equity to call and I don't think raising accomplishes much, we'll get blown off our equity a decent chunk.

On river, I wouldn't expect bluffs to play this way, clubs do get there, I'm outta there. It's true we block club combos, but I don't think we'll see enough bluffs to call. I think we should be checking back Kx on the flop at some frequency so that when we get in situations like these we have strong combos to call with as well.
