Hello,

After more than a decade away from the tables, I have returned to online poker following the fact I have gained much time back form the recent Covid-19 outbreak.

Much older and wiser I have decided to try and put myself through a programme of development to build my skill level at poker. These forums are a treasure trove of information, however, I need to spent time in the right areas.

Would anyone like to suggest some particular topics that I should include in my development programme in order for me to build my 'skill stack'.

Thanks in advance.

I'd say you're probably best signing up to a training site. You can cobble lots of bits of strat together for free but you'd probably benefit from a more coherent approach. Upswing is good, if that's too pricey I'd recommend Pete Clarke's 'from the ground up' course. You can get it from RIO for a one off payment of about $50. I've not watched it but his RIO vids are really good and I got a lot from his books - grinders manual, and 100 hands.

Failing that start from preflop, you can get 6max Snowie ranges for free, then look around for info on the most common spots, srp ip, flatting from the bb etc.

I've watched the From the Ground Up course by Peter Clarke. I think if you've been out of the game for a long time, some of the topics later on in the course may fly right over your head. I would start with either Upswing's "The Lab" or Redchip's "Core" programs as a primer before hitting up Clarke's materials, whether it's his books or videos. I think both Upswing and Redchip does a great job focusing on the foundations.
