Hey Guys,

Sorry I'm not sure how to export HM2 to Forum hand replay but its a quick one. Please Let me know if I was owned or Unlucky.

I open UTG JJ one diamond

Two Callers MP and SB

SB and I have 300BB each

Board is QDjS3D

I bet 3/4 pot

Mp Folds

SB raises to 50bb So I decided to jam 300 BB

He Calls with the Nuts

Assuming QQ was unlikely in his range, But 33,QJ and Flush and Straight Draws are.

Did he own My Soul??

Thanks for the brutal honesty, I needed that.

Is him CC QQ multi way OOP like that a descent play when deep or is that a losing play in the long run?

His play is fine. He shouldn't want to get all-in preflop and he shouldn't be folding because his hand is very strong and he has implied odds.

Sorry if I sound dumb. Microstakes noob here. I'm confused why it is an easy fold this deep? We are really deep, 300bbs, we only lose to 3 combos of QQ. Does being this deep make that much of a difference?

We shouldn't be stacking off the second nuts with an spr of ~40. It's just bad poker. At this stack depth we should be looking for the nuts because nobody at the micros is shoving the 3rd nuts at this spr. It's insane.

Had he minraised, we could peel and likely call down but here, we're clearly putting our entire stack in if we continue.

What stake this is + reads on villain matters quite a bit.

I find it hard to tell what kind of 3B sizing otf is good from this HH, but 300BB seems too much. I'd rather just flat IP, but 3Bing seems okay too but this sizing makes it more of a decisionf for 33 and QJs should be able to fold comfortably. Either way, pretty much a cooler there's no way you're not getting stacked here.

What was your open raise sizing? What limit is this?

Unknowns aren't going to call QQ preflop 100% of the time, so I think you can chalk it up to a cooler more than you normally could in a spot like this. Pretty sure the flop should be a 3bet rather than a jam though.

I'm not great at deep play, but I'd have to imagine this is pretty close to the upper limit of stack depth to GII facing unknowns without the nuts (at least at the micros anyway).

quite unlikely for sb to not squeeze QQ unless he's ultra passive pre. can't imagine folding here when he could easily be overvaluing worse/combodraws and has discounted top set combos

I like how you quote that post but I eventually give my reasoning and you don't respond to that one.

It's a call IP this deep. You can't fold the 2nd nuts in this spot when your opponents hand distribution is still weighted heavily towards second best hands. What you do on the turn is going to heavily depend on your opponents stats, board texture, bet sizing, etc..

At these stakes, you have to equally account for someone overplaying their hand value (mistakenly), as much as accounting for how passive they generally are. You don't want to just fall into the, "they are passive, they have the goods, I must fold." Someone here could easily be overplaying 33, or making a bad CR with a combo draw.

Thanks for all the responses guys! Its great to know I'm not alone in my logic here. Had I to do it again I think a call was more evident was scared he would suck out or something and wanted to depend less on my skill.

Also .isolated has given me advice that's improved my game a lot this person is definitely not a troll!!!!!
