First of all, you shouldn't open with 50-60% just for the sake of it, you should have a reason for doing that.

Just as an example, vs someone who is playing as a 14/9 in a 6-max game, folding more than 80% vs your SB open, you should open 100% of hands.

Against someone 3-betting you 30%, you will exploit them by opening only 20% of hands(mostly if they are 3-betting and 5-betting a ton, calling 4-bets and getting spewy, if they are 3-bet-folding a ton, you will do well by opening 50% and 4-betting a ton)

Now if let's say, your RFI in the SB is 60% vs someone who 3-bets very little(2-7% re-steals), you should respond to that 3-bet by overfolding a ton, it will seem exploitable to fold strong hands as KQo, but remember that he is either folding a ton or letting you see a flop with those hands. Also once you're exploiting someone, then you shouldn't care about being exploited. If you are printing money by opening every hand, the worst thing you can do is to give them action when they have a hand and put money with something silly like T9o.

If someone is 3-betting you at a moderate amount, like 8%-12%, give them some respect with some hands, like folding ATo, KTo, KJo, QTo, call with KQo, SCs, A2s-A5s, suited broadways, 4-bet A6s-A9s, vs those guys it's fine to 3-bet-call JJ+ and AK+.

Against a 3-bet monkey(15%-30%+ re-steals), if you're opening 60%, you should be 4-bet-calling wider, like with 99+, AQ+, sometimes 77+ if they're really crazy. A good adjustment would be to reduce your RFI vs those guys to your old 33% RFI. Vs some guys you can go even lower.

Thanks for the thought out response, would be awesome if i had hundreds of hands on everyone to know exactly how to adjust, in zoom 90% of opponents you have 50hands or less & can't draw too many conclusions though. Think i'm going to start out being really exploitable & open 50-60% of hands in the sb & like 80% otb & see how it shakes out.

October results:

71 hours played, -$645 on the month.

I was briefly un-stuck, then decided to take something for my time and busto'ed it.

Still a damn sight better than being stuck like 2700 or whatever it was earlier.

Goals for next month: 40 hours, win 3k
