NL5 FR. Ugly bluff on the river NL5 FR. Ugly bluff on the river

Hello guys,

I think this hand is not "nice hand". It's ugly, especially on the river. Usually I don't like to bluff but my brain suddenly suggested me to push because the cards on the river look like the "straight" without "T". What do you think?

What exactly are you trying to achieve by shoving here?

Do you want him to call with K9? This seems unlikely. Even in the micros players are not that spewy.
Are you trying to get him to lay down two pair? Again, that seems unlikely in the micros. When you flat pre-flop, you rule out AA, KK, AK and probably AQ and QQ from your range. That leaves weaker broadway, JJ-, some suited connectors and suited aces. I doubt that TT, JJ or 9Ts survive the turn, even given the small raise on his part. That leaves AT and TJs as the only hands he needs to fear, with your range including AJ, KQ, KJ, QJ and weaker aces. I don't think I would be laying down AK, AQ, AJ in this spot although those hands should really be c-betting the flop. I would probably also call with KQ and KJ. I might lay down QJ.
He's never laying down TT+ in this spot.

My guess would be that your shove got him to fold a weak king, or maybe an underpair that was bluffing on the turn. You risked a large amount of chips to fold out a hand you would have won anyway.

I am very curious as to what YOU were putting him on to do that? What range is a button 3betting, checking the flop, then raising the turn? Weak Ax (which you also have), K9, QJ.

Also think about what range BTN is putting you on because you raise and call the 3bet with maybe 25% range. Post flop your range is the same because you checked. The turn you bet the K and call his raise. So your story is now "I have Ax or Kx", which I assume you were trying to tell.

Did you jam the river because you were afraid of his hand or just now telling him your story is you had a A10 and if so why are you betting so much because there were no busted draws to overbet like this and entice the payoff. If you had A10, you want to get paid off there.

In the end if BTN had KQ, AQ, or possibly even AJ, he might just call it because your story didn't add up.
