PokerStars - $0.02 NL - Holdem - 7 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 117 BB (VPIP: 27.27, PFR: 24.24, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 33)
BB: 173.5 BB (VPIP: 14.93, PFR: 11.94, 3Bet Preflop: 1.44, Hands: 410)
UTG: 77.5 BB (VPIP: 14.71, PFR: 14.71, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 34)
UTG+1: 24.5 BB (VPIP: 25.23, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 107)
MP: 71.5 BB (VPIP: 42.86, PFR: 28.57, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 7)
CO: 104.5 BB (VPIP: 35.29, PFR: 25.49, 3Bet Preflop: 6.25, Hands: 51)
Hero (BTN): 117 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has T K

fold, UTG+1 calls 1 BB, fold, CO raises to 4.5 BB, Hero calls 4.5 BB, SB calls 4 BB, BB calls 3.5 BB, fold

Flop: (19 BB, 4 players) 3 K 3
SB checks, BB checks, CO bets 14 BB, Hero calls 14 BB, fold, fold

Turn: (47 BB, 2 players) 2
CO bets 34 BB,

What's the correct play here? Fold pre? surely folding KTo from the button vs an isolation raise from a 35/25 player is too nitty.

But then I flop top pair and it feels like I have to either fold top pair or stack off against a better king or AA. Should I be stacking off here? I have lots of questions about this type of situation as I feel it's a big part of why I'm a losing player.

What should I do in spots like this with marginal hands?

Facing this kind of player at these stakes Im calling turn here. They have weird stuff often enough. I would call this bet from a lag at stakes where the money matters to him as well buthere where he doesnt care about the money its even more of a call. I think PF is fine. If he shoves river i call and im happy winning 40% against him for the odds id be getting.

I don't think pre is fine at all but maybe I'm just a grumpy old nit. Or maybe it's bad, who knows ? I would 3-bet once in a while and fold almost always.

Never been there so I'm not qualified to comment the rest of the hand.

That's really interesting. What sort of pre-flop calling range should be standard in this spot? Obviously 22-99 for a set mine, but should there be other hands that we call with in this spot. Or is it better to only 3bet or fold?

I ended up folding the turn in the end. This is what caused me to question the hand and the pre-flop call. Since if I flop top pair and I'm not happy to call two barrels, should I even be playing the hand. Reverse implied odds start coming into play since he's probably not raising with worse kings.

Typically for weaker broadway hands, I'd prefer that they're suited to call. I'd be calling with other suited connectors too here on the button. KTo QTo stuff like that, meh...
