what do you guys think would have been a better line to take in order to get all of my opponents stack in the middle?

after going over the hand a few times I think i should have bet the turn and bet much bigger on the river for the rest of villain's stack.

I only had played 10 hands with him but he was shaping up to be a fish and he would have most likely called me off on all streets with any jacks.

i find myself doing this more often than id like.. i should be getting all the chips in the middle here.

what do yall think?

I think it's played fine. The King may be a bad card for you on the end as you were probably ahead and might have been able to bet bigger on the river with top pair. Turn is fine for me, he's a passive fish who's raised the flop vs two opponents so he's announcing a big hand so checking feels much more sensible. What makes you think he'd raise the flop with a Jack?

I was thinking that if he caught any part of the board he would raise but I could be wrong here because like what you said fish tend to be more passive and like to call. What do you think?

2 things i’d say. first, should probably bet the turn since you’re beating worse kings, and charging potential draws or random jack. if a jack thinks he may be ahead on that flop, the turn wouldn’t change anything and he should still continue. the bet doesn’t have to be very big, maybe half pot or just under it.

when it comes to the river i think the sizing was unnecessarily small. since the king came on the river. if an opponent is holding a jack they may find it less likely that you’re holding a king. so if you’re betting for value, and the opponent is going to call a river bet expecting to be ahead with just a jack the sizing could be closer to pot sized. if the river was a brick like a ragged 8, i think downsizing the bet could be a good strategy to allow a jack to call. but since the king pairs, villain holding a jack will be more confident that you don’t have a king.

just my thoughts, it could have extracted a bit more value, not sure if you could take the whole stack but maybe a bit more of it. would love others thoughts/critiques!

idk if you could extract more value. i mean, you are in a multi way pot, you have a cold call from utg otf, utg EASILY could have a set who is slow playing, and CO playing a draw.

I mean if you bet bigger and get raise otr ? for me it is fine what you did.

Your river bet was like a block bet and " see what happens" but, if you bet bigger and then you get raise?.

For me its fine the size, they are calling with worse hands, and betters hands are going to shove.

I would bet the turn and be happy to see the 3rd King on the river.
