Hi XChrisCubeX,
First of all, I don't think we can assume anything so far about this player. For me personnaly, a 19hands sample isn't big enough. After 50 hands you start to have a shape of your opponent playstile and then at about 100-150+ you can start assuming a playstyle for your opponent.
That said, 3betting here for value would be a better play in my oppinion. You're both deepstacked so he might call you with all of his preflop UTG open range. Even more so, if you think that this guy is more on the aggrofish side than the LAG side.
Then, what do you think is preflop range looks like ? If he is loose, let's be generous and give him
22+,A2s+,KJs+,QJs,JTs,T9s,98s,AJo+,KQo (quite loose about 15%)
Which you have 47% equity. (not bad right ?)
FLOP
Betting about 2/3 pot here would be better. We are likely ahead and ,if he calls .31, I am pretty sure he would call .40 or .45 (Half-pot bet would be better in a 3B pot)
Also when he checks the flop, do you think he slow plays 2pair or a set on a flush draw board ? Not likely in my opinion.
Would he c/r if he has A7
or A6
(the only remaining combo with the turn) 77, 66 ?
The question here.. do you take out these hand out of his range or no ?
TURN
Bet about a 1$. When he c/r... does he c/r for bluff or value ?
You established that his range was something similar to that:
88+,ATs+,KJs+,QJs,T9s,98s,AJo+
So, right now we are ahead and have 84%equity agaisnt this range.
So in this spot, I would probably raise to 4$ his c/r. If he shoves well, let's say it's not for bluff but for value with worst case scenario. Let's give him this range :
ATs+,AJo+
We have 34% equity,
What are the pot odds, well in this line the pot would be 1.27 + .80 + 1.8 +3.2+ 11.52 = 18.59
The effective stack of the hand is Hero's 13.88.
So when he shove we have 9.32 left behind (13.88- .25 - .31 - .8 - 3.2 = 9.32)
Assuming he NEVER bluff here, we need 50% equity and that's the worst case scenario. If we JUST ad KK, our equity goes up to 53%. Lets say, he doesn't have KK in his range but K
Q
, Q
J
.
We have 46% equity.
Imagine you had 3bet or you had bet more on flop and turn. Your pot odds increases and V is less likely to bluff you and put you in a really akward spot Following the line that you bet he raise you raise he shoves you call.
Also if he has an A in his hand with strong kicker, no worries, he's not folding to your raise on his c/r on the turn.
RIVER
At this point just go c/c. You don't wanna face a c/r all in.
As a final point, you think the guy is loose and wants to open with 77, 66, Axs OOP, make him pay the price for it when you have a good hand.
To make it simple, 3bet flop, bet more on flop and turn and and don't take the risk to put yourself in a akward position on the river by raising since not many second hands calls us (AKo, AQo, AJo with a spade kicker maybe ?)
Hope that helps, I know it seems a lot but I do think that all those little I listed above could have changed this hand in a totally different way.
