What about this spot? Unfortunately opp 4bets AI, his range is QQ+ here, maybe sometimes AK to. Our pot odds to call is 26%. Against KK we have 34% odds to win. Is call right decision here or do we have to fold here?

Most people will say "well played". But I think that's a terrible answer.

Honestly it depends. Outside of the stats you have of 27/19/6 over 89 hands. How has villain been playing this session? Are all 89 hands from this session? Did he start as a short stack and build up? Did he have $70 when you say down?

There are people who I would fold to and not be worried about it, there are others who's shoving range is super wide and I'm snapping. His stats alone are bordering on laggy, but it could just be sample size.

Generally I think most good players aren't just jamming as a 4! Here. They are making it something like $8-$9 given they have position and it would be a good 4! Bluff sizing. The appearance of pot commiting when in fact they aren't.

So his bet sizing makes me think he's weighed to value. It's just a question of what is the lowest "value" hand in his range.

If you take UTG out of the equation we are getting this in, now we are getting it in with a bonus 14bb.

Of course MP is weighted towards value, he just 4bet a fish isolation. But it doesn't matter because our hand is too strong to fold. We only need 40% to call and a get 42% vs QQ+,AK.

In the games I play online I see AK calling this 3b more than I see it 4b shoving.

If you change the range to QQ+ and AKs we only have 33% equity. So by assuming everyone is jamming all AK combos here we make a pretty big mistake if that assumption is wrong.

Which is why I feel like my answer of "it depends" is probably more appropriate than "jam on it" regardless of how much I enjoy newcleus

I guess the real question from OP isn't "how's my line?"

The real question that OP can benefit from is "what range do we put villain on when she 4! shoves here?"

The 1st can't be answered without the latter. And I personally don't have enough info to answer the latter question.

Insta fold, no spoilers please.

It's obv that vill has QQ+ so the majority of his range is crushing us.

This is 2019. Looks like a difficult fold, but in reality an easy one. Games are too nitty now.

This is true, esp on pokerstars. Although isn't one of the points of shoving with AK is so to balance your range?
