Well, here's the installment of Micro Sweat Sessions. This will only be posted monthly, as it takes time for people to arrange a time, get mic'ed up, etc. Ok, I'll address some basic questions concerning this.
1. Sweating? This sounds gross! What is it?
Sweating consists of watching another person play poker and commenting on their thought processes and their play. This can be more helpful than a session review, as you can pick up on smaller parts of a person's game. However, it takes more effort to do.
2. Ok so what do I need to do this?
Well, some sort of chat program (AIM, MSN, whatever) is helpful at first to set up times. Once you have a time set, there are two things you need. The first is a program that shares your desktop to let other people see it. I use SharedView, many others use Team Viewer (both are free afaik, and just google them to find them). A microphone would be preferable as you can both discuss things in real time, instead of over a chat program. Mics are cheap and you can get a 10 dollar one at Wal-Mart or anywhere really. Although I guess it's not completely necessary, it will definitely improve the experience. I have used the "Talk" function on AIM for most sweats, but for those without that option, Skype seems to be the most popular and efficient way to communicate. Again, this is a free and easy to download program.
I assume *Split* doesn't mind me posting this link (free advertising imo) but he has made a short video on how to setup the necessary tools for a sweat session.

3. Ok how do I get involved?
The e-mail system with the session review I never thought was that effective, as I would forget to sign up sometimes. In hopes that this improves participation, I will be taking signups through PM. IF YOU POST IN THIS THREAD, BUT DO NOT PM ME, YOU WILL NOT BE SIGNED UP. Read that again just in case you forget. When you PM me you NEED to include
I. Limit you are playing
II. What site you play on
III. Any scheduling conflicts you may have. Only major conflicts please. If you are available 5 days a week, then that is not major. Major would be "I can only play weekends 2pm-7pm" or something very constricting. If you want to be paired up with another Aussie, Euro, American etc due to time zone issues let me know. But you only have to include this if you have MAJOR time conflict. Also telling me you are only available evenings/mornings doesn't help. My evening could be your morning so include where you are from if you indeed have a MAJOR time conflict. FWIW there have been maybe 1-2 instances where partners could not coordinate schedules sometime during the month.
I need these 3 things to effectively match people up.
4. Well, I don't really want another 50NL Stars reg watching my game and being able to exploit it....
If something like this bothers you, LET ME KNOW in the PM.
5. OH NOES I MISSED THE DEADLINE NOW WHAT?
Don't worry, there are always stragglers. However, PMing me is useless after the deadline as I am done setting people up. Please post in this thread instead and there are always people who are also late or willing to do an extra one.
6. Is this only for Full Ring sweats?
An increasing number of people have been signing up expecting to this be 6max sweats and find out almost all the people signing up play FR. Well, this is the FR forum so that obviously makes sense. I think there is value in sweating regardless as the games are not starkly different, however I do not believe there is an official sweat system for the uNL 6m forum. So yes if you play 6m and signup, you are most likely going to get a FR player.
Once the pairings are up, that is it. Post in the thread and maybe someone will pair up with you, but I am done pairing people after the deadline. I am not sending out confirmation PMs, as there are lots of people signing up.
If you are lazy, just read the spoiler.
