Having looked over this hand afterwards, I think I probably should have folded to the turn bet but any comments welcomed. I'd only seen villain play 3 hands.

This seems fine to me, he shouldn't have that many sets, some QJ and AQ in there but there are loads of draws (Ax of hearts, other flush draws, T9s, KTs). I play the hand the same way

I like x/r'ing the turn.

I think as played, you're most likely behind and probably aren't going to get paid on that much when the flush comes.

x/r'ing turn puts huge pressure on villain's range and we still have decent equity versus his range if called.

I don't like playing suited one gapper from this position. Especially KJ. Many players behind will call you with KQ and AJ.
But how many outs could we safely consider here? I'd consider 10 because there are 4 combinations of sets (I don't believe the villain would just call with QQ) and 9 of AQ and 9 KQ. So, you are 1 to 3. I didn't put 14 because KQ or 77 you'd have fewer outs. So, you're 1 to 4 ott. But we are oop! You'd ought to bet half pot otr if you do hit your out. If I had hit a heart which doesn't pair the board, I'd have bet pot!

I try and get it in on the flop. You've got a really strong hand. You've got possibilities for a flush, two pair, trips, and even an outside shot at a straight. As you can see, you're actually winning on the flop.

But mate, you're considering just our hand but not the villain's range! With a heavy flop, there's a strong possibility of set here! In this case just a which doesn't pair the board is good!
