NL50: Handling overpairs NL50: Handling overpairs

I've lately gotten the feeling that I am clinging to strongly to my overpairs on various boards. To find out if that's right or not and to get some feedback on how and when to continue with big pair, I'd first like to present three hands:

Full Tilt Poker $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BB: $56.60
UTG: $63.60
Hero (MP): $50.35
CO: $118.10
BTN: $96.75
SB: $115.35

Pre Flop: Hero is MP with K K
1 fold, Hero raises to $1.75, CO raises to $3, 3 folds, Hero raises to $8, CO calls $5

Flop: ($16.75) 2 J Q (2 players)
Hero bets $14, CO calls $14

Turn: ($44.75) T (2 players)
Hero bets $28.35 all in, CO calls $28.35

River: ($101.45) 3

This villains stats are 74/6.5/0.6 3Bet Preflop 9, and Fold to Flop CBet 31 after 61 hands. The whole time while sitting with him, I was waiting to get his money when I have a real hand, seeing how he is a true calling station.

When the flop came, I was happy at first, hoping I'd get all of his money from random toppair, but the turn wasn't exactly a good card for me, as he had been drawing in such spots with gutshots before. So the question is, was my line right or should I slowed down somewhere in the process, getting cautious because he might have something like twopair (JQ or QT def. in his range), set or even straight on the turn?
Or will I just have to make a stand here and valuebet all the way, figuring it's just bad luck when the calling station wakes up with a hand?

The next two hands I will post without commenting too much. I'd just like to know in general, when I can/should decipher opposing aggression/calling as a bigger pair in the hole or something like a set or "just" a weaker pair in the whole or something like toppair. Is it a good idea at this level to play hands like this relentlessly or should one swich to potcontrol/finding spots to fold in unclear situations like that...

Hand 1, bet bigger pf, raise it to 10-11$. The turnshove is fine by me.

Hand 2, the board is very dry, most likely a set or 2 pair.

Hand 3, I guess the same as hand 2.

1) Fine, preflop raise more but by the turn you don't have much choice but to shove and you have some outs if behind
2) I would 3bet pf, but as played it is player/read dependant.
3) Given stack sizes and the pot size to this point i am calling.

Hand 1: You're OOP, so raise a bigger amount than you would normally. Apart from that, played fine and ship in the monies.

Hand 2: 3-bet pre flop all day. As played, I'd be happy to shove after his $16.50 re-raise or flat and get it in on a safe turn. Villains range here includes AA, KK, TT, AT and so on...

The 5 didn't change things too much and by his over shove, I think we can take AA, KK and TT out of his range as he'd be wanting to get value out of these types of hands, rather than just trying to push us off ours. Call here.

Hand 3: OOP, 3-bet sizing is good here. Tough spot after his flop shove... but unless I have a read or a good feel for his style, I'm calling. Wouldn't suprise me to see villain flip over AK-AT, TT-77.

Hand 1: Right ship in
Hand 2: Fold here, but three bet Pre. Good chance villain has set or overs, the only hands you can beat here are 99 and JJ.
Hand 3: ahhh.... He doesnt have full stack, the bet look suber spewy.... no reason for him to ship it unless he doesnt wanna make further actions. I highly doubt a set, unless its a newb playing his set of jacks like this. I would ship it and expect to see TPTK which they treat like gods...

Well just be happy that you were able to ship it in and be very good two out of three and a 3:1 dog once.

Hand 1 and 3 is standard vs. those opponents. Hand 2 is interesting, you should definitely be 3 betting QQ, particularly from the blinds. After his 3bet on the flop I think I'd rather fold than call; he is really only repping hands that have you crushed (AA, KK, TT, 66 and 22) IMO a 20/15 at 50nl will almost never bluff you in this spot (or just in general...), but if you call the flop you gotta call the turn when a blank hits imo.
