Hello,

I am new to the HUD game and I was wondering how you use the information to analyze your own game but also your opponent's game.

In play data we have the quick view of:

VPIP/PFR/Aggression factor

On a more detailed view which I've been using to analyze myself:

PF Play
-Call PF raise
-Un-opened PF raise
-3bet PF/ Fold to 3bet
-4 bet PF / fold to 4 bet

Steal attempts
- Blind steal
-Fold to blind steal
-Squeeze

Postflop
- Agression factor
-C/R
-Fold to C/R
-C-BEt
-Fold to C-BEt
-Raise C-Bet
-Donk Bet
-Fold to Donk Bet

For analyzing your own game:

-What data points do you find most helpful to look at?

-In terms of the numbers what range do you find the most successful players fall under for each data element.

- When it comes to post flop play, how does the sliding scale compare from your flop statistics to the turn & river?

Thank you in advance!

How have you been a member since 2008 and posted 2800 posts on 2+2 and not understand such a basic concept?

There is SO much written on this subject, on 2+2 and on the regular old internet.

Carroter's Grinder's Manual has a lot of good suggestions on how to use the HUD information to exploit your opponents. Once you understand how to use the HUD info to exploit your opponents, you should consider what you want your HUD stats to look like to your opponents so they don't try to exploit you.

For instance, if your opponent almost always folds to 3bets, then you should constantly 3 bet that person. This begs the question, how often should YOU defend against 3bets. This is pretty basic stuff. Poker 101.

I have heard that a good, tight/solid range in full ring is 15% overall. Most modern players would probably find this to be too tight. I personally play more hands than that. I have also heard that your PFR should be within 4% of your VPIP. So a Tight-Aggressive range in a FR game might be something like 16/12. If your opponent is showing stats of 36/8, then there are obvious ways to exploit that opponent.

My recommendation is that you search this topic on 2+2, on the internet and obtain The Grinder's Manual. Good luck.

I'm rebuilding my HUD as I work through The Grinder's Manual (highly recommended book btw).

Currently I have the following visible on table:

KEY STATS
- Player name / VPIP / PFR / 3bet pre / # hands / fold to 3bet / fold to 4bet
PREFLOP
- Fold to LP steal / Fold BB vs SB open / ATS / Limp&Call
FLOP
- Fold to cbet / cbet / raise cbet / float / donk
TURN
- Fold to cbet / cbet / float
RIVER
- cbet

I refer to a pop-up for WTSD WWSF and positional breakdowns for:
- raise first in / 3bet by position / fold to 3bet

There is a "Sticky" on the Micro-Small-Full-Ring Page - which we are on right now - titled "Official Stats and Graphs Analysis Thread." It is a massive thread. Start there. Read all of that.
