2nl 9 handed

H: UTG+3, 4c5c, (stack $2.65)

V: BB ($2.00) - has topped up several times and I've seen him chase down to the river and fold twice to a bet. Raises too man pots. Watching about an hour.

Pre flop: Folds to hero who calls. SB calls. Villain raises to 6 and Hero calls SB folds.

Pot: 14

Flop: 6h7s9c

V: bets 9 and Hero calls (planning to raise the turn)

Pot: 32

Turn: 6h7s9c - Qh

V: bets 14 and Hero raises to 28, V calls

Pot: 88

River: 6d

V: Checks

Hero: Bets 46.

Thoughts? Sizing?

I’d fold preflop.

I can't argue that Bob. If I could do it over again so would I.

This is LHE, we don't bluff here!

Might want to repost in the correct forum.

I'm confused. I think you've posted this in the right forum?

So I am no expert Freedom but for what it's worth I would consider this :

Why are you open limping? The logic behind never open-limping and always opening for a raise is twofold. Firstly, you have one extra way of winning the hand (everybody folds) which if you consider a hand like the one you have here, would really be the best outcome you could hope for in most cases, as you are rarely going to hit that perfect flop that (A) hits your hand like a dream and (B) hits your opponents and enough for you to be able to stack him. Secondly, you disguise the strength of your hand! If you have a range that will open-limp and a range that open raises then you are telegraphing the strength of your hand, making you much easier to play against.

Also, having decided to open, on the flop you have a very good hand to bluff with. With 5 high you have zero showdown value and so imo this is where you should start bluffing giving you the best opportunity to take the hand down.

This forum is for limit (fixed limit) holdem. The hand in OP is no-limit holdem.

Nope, sorry; it was first in the incorrect forum, but a moderator must have moved it without alerting us to that. Shame.

I'd fold pre. 54s is gonna be tough to play from such an early position.

If you're going to raise the turn you need to make it a LOT larger. You're laying him something ridiculous like 5/1 to call here which prices in all his draws.
