How do you crush the microstakes 10nl-25nl (Strategy Question) How do you crush the microstakes 10nl-25nl (Strategy Question)

What´s up guys. Sorry if you feel this is a dumb question, but I´m really curious. Right now I´m playing 10nl after rebuilding a little bit at 5nl. I felt I played quite well, despite my leaks, and got close to 4 evbb/100. A few years ago, while playing 2nl, I got 7 evbb/100. The weird thing is, when I was beginning and stars offered 40-250 bb tables, I managed to get double digit winrates without so much difficulty at 2 and 5nl over a large sample (100k hands).

I´m pretty sure I could up my current winrate by playing better, and I´m sure I will manage to get there, but is accumulating a lot of chips, especially at zoom tables, and then playing deepstacked against deepstacked weaker opposition, the "secret" why some people claim to crush 10nl-16nl-even 25nl with double digit winrates? Especially with the high rake, it feels like I can really improve a little bit, but getting those 10 bb/100 and higher playing 100bbs seems like a steep uphill battle that I´m not really sure I will ever win.

What do you guys think?

Playing deep vs weaker players will definitely result in a higher win rate long term if you know what you're doing, but it's not the secret to a high wr. There is no real secret, you just have to work hard or game select

Thanks. Yes, I think you´re right. Working a lot on my game lately and feel the results are improving (despite some setbacks here and there), but my inability to win at 10nl and/or up my wr at 5nl reg tables to more reasonable levels (let´s say, at least 7 bb/100) is a little bit frustrating. Anyway, will keep doing the work, being patient and letting the studying and practice do their jobs.

My journey lately has been full of AHA moments due to the study, then a setback because they put me on a spot I wasn´t prepared, then I go back to the lab, study again and the cycle repeats. At least those "learning swings" are going up, so I´m pretty happy.

Thanks for the advice man!

if you're serious about poker and have some money to spend
invest in Flopzilla and in GTOplus
first one will make it much easier for you to visualize your opp ranges, how they hit boards and in what way the ranges shrink as you make your way to the river. the software is like 25$
second one is a solver, it simulates and gives you solutions of game theory optimal play. use this one to better visualize your own ranges, figure out what parts of your range want to take certain lines, see optimal % for being aggressive or passive in typical spots. good way to see how much your opponents deviate from optimal and punish them. this is one is 75$ I think.
both are very much worth it if you're going to use them and will earn their money back tenfold.
for preflop ranges, pokersnowie app on android or ios is a good guesstimate. it's for 6m but just as relevant if you tighten up a bit more on the first 3 seats
gl to you.

Yes, I´m using Snowie right now, for ranges but also for training. The problem is that real opponents don´t play Snowie "optimal" ranges themselves, so I have to do some thinking and adapt the strategy postflop while on the real table or else I risk losing some (a lot) of EV. But this work and thinking, and figuring out the general principles behind each strategy, seems to be what´s helping me the most. Just mimicking its strategy is, imo, a waste of money, time, effort and brainpower, and I don´t think it would be effective anyway.

I will invest in Flopzilla and GTO+, they were already on my bucketlist for january.

Gl to you too.

If you have the more expensive snowie sub, you also get the way snowie constructs ranges, which is similar to what a solver does. You're better off getting gto+ tho.
I think snowie is very accurate preflop and flop, since equities run close together on the first 2 streets. The style snowie plays is not bad, it's just that his ranges differ from your opponent's ranges in some spots and your opponents also either underfold or overfold to your bets , while their checking ranges are weaker than snowie's. Mimicking snowie pf and flop is a good way to go, but then figure out how ranges differ on turns and rivers, look at what snowie does and adjust +- on aggression or willingness to call down.
Equilab is similar to Flopzilla and free, it just lacks putting weight on ranges as far as I'm aware
