Hello everyone

I am new to online poker (at least that I now want to try approach it more seriously than in the past). Therefore, I am really grateful for you guys' time and effort to help me become better at poker by reviewing my hands. Thank you all for your help in advance - it is very much appreciated.

My question for the following hand is:
1) Was the pot sized bet on the Turn too high? Should I have been checking and then raising (eventually re-raising) if he bets?

Sidenote: I see that I did not have the pot odds to call on the flop. ;D

bet flop, you have a stronger range than your opp on this flop
you raised from early position, he just called with plenty of ppl left to act. he's not going to show up with KK+ and AK/QQ can be discounted since he'd 3b some of these
having a stronger range means you can bet more as a bluff. in this case you have a gutshot to go with an overcard, which means you also have decent equity

as played, the standard line is to check turn because think about it, what hands do you open preflop from ep and then bet this turn oop after you've been passive the previous street? only strong hands, it's virtually impossible for you to have bluffs

as an exploit vs your fishy opponents at 2nl, you can lead turn for a smaller sizing (1/3p) if you believe they will check back the turn, do this mostly against passive bad players
