fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, MP+1 calls 3 BB, fold, fold, fold, BB calls 2 BB

Flop: (9.5 BB, 3 players) 7 2 6
BB checks, Hero bets 7 BB, MP+1 calls 7 BB, fold

Turn: (23.5 BB, 2 players) 7
Hero bets 11 BB, MP+1 calls 11 BB

River: (45.5 BB, 2 players) 3
Hero checks, MP+1 bets 60.5 BB and is all-in, fold

MP+1 wins 43.5 BB

I checked the river with the intention of calling busted flush draws that might want to bluff because I thought hands I beat wouldn't call a third bet. so when villain ends up shoving I chicken out and fold due to most players I play against not really buff jamming the river too often. but now that I think about it maybe betting 1/3 pot and folding to a raise would have been a better line. or maybe just shrug and call it off?

Only 13 hands on V but I’d consider him a fish. Do we have any idea if passive or overly aggro?

Depends on how passive or aggro fishy villain is, definitely a rec. If mostly passive it’s a good fold but better to bet the river for value and fold to a push. If overly aggro then the check is a good inducer and we should probably call. We need to win 37% of the and vs an aggro donk we probably hit that figure.

Why are you 3x opening Ace Ace with a fishy player right next to you and a fishy player in the big blind?

I think a 6X open would be more appropriate.

Villain seems a little Agro fishy and your turn but was small. Why are you betting the turn so small? If villain has a flush draw here and he's got 20% equity so you need to bet at least half pot 2/3 pot wood be better.

Because the spr was so high on the flop I think you're going to have to fold this River even though you massively under-represented your hand and villain is likely just throwing a stack in there to Bluff you off of it, it's to Marginal and iffy a spot to risk that much

Very small sample on villain, but looks to be reckless. I am not clicking the fold button here.

In the moment I wanted to underbet the turn because I expected to get checkraised and didn't want to get blown off my hand but I folded the river anyway so ya that was probably a mistake. I wasn't really sure how much I should have been reading into villains stats because of the sample size. what would you say is a good amount of hands to have on a player before you can confidently say they are a fish.

bet 16-18bb on the turn and never check the river - bet like 40bb.

well, i say never, but if you have seen that he goes crazy with missed draws then checking the river to always call no matter what is a very good line.

but as played snapple and have no regrets.

You can determine a fishy player quickly 20-35 hands. I think a real fishy player you can tell in one or two Orbitz. That player in the big blind has played like 7 out of 10 hands, and mp1 has played like 10 of 13 hands, they are definitely fish.

Also, I don't think expecting to be check-raise is a good reason to make a decision for your play simply because not many players are check raising often enough for that to be a serious concern.

Your concern should be getting value. I think that your fundamental approach should be to bet and then fold when raised, and when you bet make sure you bet for good value because that is your primary objective.

Call. He could have the 7 or a set, but he can also have missed str8 and flush draws.
