On the flop I'm slowplaying hoping both players hit a flush or continue with a weaker A. The Qd on the turn is good for helping out hands like Td9d but now i'm behind AQ. The Kd on the turn is a killer, now I lose to the hands I was trying to milk like AK and Tdx
I probably should have called the river off at this point, it's hard to get into that kind of mindset when you flop such a monster. Villain showed T5o just made me sick to my stomach.
Yeah, I hear you. Hard to play safe otr when we start off with such a monster.
That said, if we really think about villain's range otr, there really are not many value hands that will call your raise here and that you still beat. He does not have many, if any, smaller boat in his range. no pfr from villain means no kk, no qq, no jj (and you block jj too). no AK/AQ either but those beat you now anyway. ( i mean sure. there is a chance that villain is so passive that he would not raise with kk, qq, jj. still. hard to assume that)
Other hands you beat such as Ax for trips, KQ, QJ, Tx (non-diamond) probably wouldn't be calling your raise.
ONLY hand that may call your raise that you beat here is probably a 9d/8d type hand.
So yeah, agree. I think just calling villain's bet otr was probably the best bet. you are getting a bit better than 2-1 still. raising is probably a -ev play.

Why so passive on the turn? You need to shovel money in here. Nobody should ever have a hand that beats you here unless they are absolutely terrible other than a couple Td hands.
