Hello I hope that I have posted in the correct forum, if not please accept my apologies.
I live in a holiday resort in Southern Spain and play regular at my local casino normally playing 2€/1€ sometimes 5€/2€ when available, in July & August the place is very busy with many tables playing. Now this is great as a lot of action and with many of the players being very inexperienced maybe just playing a home game once a week and believing they are pros, all good and a good player can win here. My question is how do you guys suggest playing AK/AQ out of position here? These guys will limp into a pot, call a raise and even flat call a 3bet with very poor starting hands because they want to see a flop. Here is an example the other night in the BB I had AK off, in front of me I had 4 players limp into the pot, I raised by 5x BB and everyone of them called. 5 way pot is not good for AK out of position, the flop was 379 rainbow and one guys shoves, one calls and 3 fold including myself. First guy shows J T 2nd A 9 WTF!!! So I now think at these these tables in early position I have to play super tight, your thoughts please as running out of ideas here?

Make it more like 10x if they all like seeing flops.
Also take note of who the especially bad post flop players are so you can target them specifically.
Sounds like a profitable game you found there.

Very profitable game. Raise bigger with premiums. Play tighter postflop in mw pots and be aware that you´ll have to fold a lot (say f*** you redline), open tighter than usual from EP also.

You may also consider limping behind hands that play well multiway, if the table is really passive.

5x? And you expect them to fold a9 or JT, they will call JT 15-20xbb

You should raise 3/4x the pot here

OP a good rule is to make your open pre flop 4X the bb and then add a bb for every player that has limped. In this situation since you're in the bb make it 10X after the 4 limpers. So 20 euros would have been a good number. Those two specific players would have probably come along anyway, which is fine but atleast you get the pot juiced up since you're at the top of your range with AK. You could have done some damage to Ad9d with the right flop there.

GL! Sounds like a blast and I want to come to Spain!
