What are your thoughts on this? I gave the free card on the flop, maybe that was a mistake given V seems to be calling anything preflop? The turn 4 was a little scary and we get raised with it, but it still feels like we're miles ahead of an EP 3bet calling range.

The shove on the river was for value - it looks like I've missed a flush draw, so I expect a lot of calls from AK/AQ/AJ/KQ/KJ/TT/99.

more simply :

you are playing vs a fish (he called Raise then called 3B/"is calling anything preflop"/ has fishy stack size)= probably a calling station

so you want stacks with an overpair ..until he starts raising

when a station starts raising he beats TP

easy fold to his raise.

**Why are we checking/ betting the flop small ..I must be missing something?

I would be betting that flop large considering it's a dry board and villain is likely a station. Probably going to explo fold versus any raise from passive fish.

I think it on such a dry flop, it looks fishy if you don't bet, given he will miss it often.

I agree that when stations raise they normally have a nut hand, especially a min raise.

i'd normally c-bet 33%, I suppose you could size up to 40% given he's a fish. but you want to keep his 78, 89 in so you don't want to bet too much.

... I like to bet large vs fishy players and calling stations, especially on dry boards. My reasoning is villain is likely to call a pot size bet just as likely as he is to call a half pot size bet, and will give you less credit on dry boards.

I don't worry about maximizing calls versus Villains range, instead I focus on maximizing value from villains range.
