I'm thinking I overplayed my Jacks in this spot but want to know your opinions. Villian was playing at a VP 35, PR 23, AF 0 , 3B 11 over 26 hands of data. Although this is a very small sample size, I'm already getting the impression he is a rec player who is playing far too many hands than he should be. My reason for the 4bet is that Jacks is a strong hand and villain is probably 3-betting light with plenty of hands I'm beating such as 88-TT, AK,AQ,AJ, maybe ATs? Once he shoves all-in, I'm definitely afraid of AA-QQ, but the math tells me to call if he has anything other then AA-QQ. Maybe I should have known he was so strong because recs don't really bluff in this spot.

Defo an overplay here. I think you are putting way too much into his stats. It's not uncommon for me to have similar stats playing tag on a sample size that small. If you've been watching his play closely and seen reasons to suspect that he is being a bit of a maniac then that's different but even then when he 5bets you've got to be thinking you're behind and give up the hand. As it is though you're both in mp so much less likely to be funny bussines so you should be worried when he 3bets (which is a good size to give bad odds to set miners) plus you're OOP and there's multiple people still to act so folding there seems pretty reasonable to me. If you were IP and on the button then call and float the flop on a dry board is possible but as it is I don't like a 4bet and don't like calling OOP so there's not much else to do.

All that said I'd be interested to hear if others think this is too nitty?

With your stack size it's totally fine. 100bb deep calling the 4bet in these configurations is best.

Cooler.
