I find myself in this position often where I call the connectors, flop an open-ender and just resign myself to calling anything that gives me 2:1.

I'd appreciate your thoughts here:

Fold to the preflop raise. You're going to be out of position with a hand that is tricky to play and given that it's not even suited you don't have many ways to make strong hands but lots to make mediocre ones.

The rest of the hand is fine in my opinion.

I thought it may have been too loose to call the raise - particularly since I wasn't suited.

Thanks!

I agree the PF call is very loose given you're out of position.

Also, this is more of a question but, isn't it a good idea to do a very raise as a semi-bluff on the flop?

with 7 8 10 it's unlikely he has anything insanely good, A 10 being one of the better hands he has. 2 pairs are limited as 10 J naturally isn't on the board, does he really have 10 8 or 10 7 a lot of the time? Furthermore, if he does have something like a set, which is seriously possible, you still have decent outs to catch him on anyway. And you know you're up against a powerhouse assuming he does call, and you fold out anything weaker which may at this current time be stronger than yours.

Just a thought, legit question.
