Current thinking on 3bet ranges Current thinking on 3bet ranges

I currently grind 5NL on Ignition. My 3bet percentage is fairly low (about 4%) and I think this might be a leak in my game. Are there consensus or popular 3bet strategies I can research?

For example, I've heard 3betting A2 - A5 suited is effective because it blocks a lot of premium ace hands (AK/AQ) and can also make a straights and flushes, especially in strong position.

I am also playing around with EquiLab, but wanted to see if there was a good starting point.

You can search for polarized and merged 3-betting ranges.
In a nutshell, you want to polarize your range when your opponent is overfolding against your 3bets. Against sticky villains, adding sub premium hands (e.g. AQ/AJ, medium pocket pars) instead of speculative hands (AXs, low suited connectors) is better.

You also need to be aware of your position and the position of your opponent. The ranges are super tight when 3betting in early position against an UTG open. They can be quite wide when playing blind versus blind. All these factors will affect your strategy.
