This is very illegal (in terms of service for poker rooms)

Just play a lot. You'll get moderately useful stats pretty quickly. 40 or so hands should give you a usable VPIP and PFR on a player.

It's useful everytime you play. Don't put there stats that'll take 1000 hands to converge.

vpip and pfr are the most important stats imo, and start to take shape with only ~ 15-20 hands. They usually tell you a lot about the persons postflop play too.

its the default popup in HEM (gives you their VPIP and PFR and other stats on a SB/BB/EP/MP/CO/BUT basis)

Are you saying the window that has "Hold Em Distribution [Player 1]" as the title (the one that highlights the hole cards) comes with HEM?

OP says:

"Foldv3B:

... If I am ever going to consider a resteal, I want to check how often this player steals and then I can do some simple O-Range vs. Cont-Range calculations to see if I can make an outright profitable 3B."

Would you expand this please OP? This sounds helpful.

If an ATS is high, then I can logically expect more hands will outright fold if I 3bet

If an ATS is low, then I can expect that a larger % of that range is stronger, and thus I will not get enough folds to show an outright profit

You guys really need to quit bumping this thread up. It's too valuable to keep sharing with others.

I just started using a HUD and trying to configure it this is what i have:

VP

AF
fold to preflop 3bet%
% of time player folds on flop
fold to flop Cbet %
flop cbet %
fold to turn cbet %
how often bb folds to sb steal
WTSD

i hope you guys can give me feed back on what i need to add/ dont need/ or replace. thanks a lot

also, is there a way you can guys can tell me the values for each one on whether the player is agg or tight and etc, or direct me to where i can find more information. thanks!

thread on stat ranges and such: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/78...n-color-42493/

your HUD looks ok...but i would rather have "FoldvSteal" than the specific "foldbbvSBsteal"

What i found pretty usefull in configuring my hud stats is to color code the stats in specific categories.

The trinity i keep all white (vpip, pfr, af)
All my fold stats (Fold to CB, fold to Turn CB, Fold 3b) colored in olive green.

So it gives me a quick view of all the fold stats without looking at the popup and figuring out what the heck these numbers mean.

This is especially usefull when u have stats in different lines.
Example: line 2 is 3bet & steal stats. So i quickly see that the number at the end is Fold vs 3bet cause of its color.

Hope it helps.

Just trying to digest this thread and have been thinking of how others are using HUDs against me.

Is there a way ( and if so would it be worthwhile to use) to see how a particular villian sees us in their HUD?

well unless your opponent has datamined hands or has shared a DB, he should only have as many hands on you as you have on him. so just think about what you look like over that sample. if the sample size is small, the variance can be nutty (you might avg out as a 15/12 but play 18/15 some sessions and 12/10 on others)...so keep that in mind as well

also, you dont know what stats your opponent keeps up. he probably uses vpip/pfr/ats/3bet/etc...but you don't know which specific ones he uses, which makes the guessing even harder

so in small samples, i just ask myself "which player type do i think he logically sees me as?" and go from there. if you get too detailed in this thought process, you can easily outlevel yourself imo
