You have position on any other players, so you can open a little smaller than 3x to keep more hands you have dominated in post flop like J8s+ and A2+, but AP is totally standard and fine.
Calling villains 3bet is fine, but just remember that AJs is at the very bottom of your 3bet calling range in position, and is probably a fold oop.
On the flop you want to call here. Villain has AA, KK, QQ in his range which have you beat, and the rest of his range are bluffs which you don’t want him to fold.
Call flop and check call turn. Your big decision will most likely be on the river depending on whether more diamonds or an Ace comes on the run out.
