My article was intended for someone not familiar with the concept. In other words, its about time for this to be revisited. gg

yours was great, and i'd really like to build off that and go into specific scenarios. not all ISOs are the same.

COTW on overbetting would be great especially with the mathematics involved.

I could do that one. But it won't be for a while though.

I guess my COTW is not wanted by Split or mpehty. I may write it up for a 12K post though.

yeah, +1.

Not to mention, sammy, just consider yourself green-lighted to drop whatever pearls of wisdom you want. no mod approval req'd, imho, just schedule coordination.

Please send it to me for proof reading first, then expect to have an "accident" before it is published.

Has there been a COTW on hero's image? I'm advocating for one because I think that a lot of the mistakes we see players make in this thread have to do with not understanding how villain's view the OP, and how that affects their calling/folding 3bet range.

Having an image requires observant opposition.

I come across observant competition at 50Nl (more so on PS) on a consistent basis. Even sometimes at 25NL, when I drop down to get some things worked out. I don't think it's important any lower than that.

I guess I think that a majority of the newish regs/viewers of this forum run somewhere around 13/10 with a 3%bet. I think the inexperienced players see someone running 17/14 with an 8% 3bet%, and blindly see those stats and believe that this guy is 3 betting me light because I fold a lot, and I can 4 bet jam hands like 99 or aqo profitably. They fail to realize that most of the laggy players they face have a clue and their continuation range against a 12/10 is AA or KK and some (AK if its a late position battle).

Knowing what your image is to people is hard - you have to know what hands they have on you, unless you play the exact way all the time, then you can probably tell - know what they've noticed you do, and if they've paid attention to see that you've adjusted in spots and maybe made a play against a fish you wouldn't against a reg, or if they just saw that you showed down Q9 for top pair on a 96327 board for 60bb stack and didn't notice the guy was a whale who gets it in with T3.

Just because you've played a certain way doesn't mean people have noticed - and I think this is particularly true at FR, unless it's a guy you have a ton of hands on and have tangled with numerous times in the past.

As you play higher, vs people you'll play against every day for years, I think it's easier to know what their view of you is.

you're really going to steal split? .

Nbd, keep in mind that I've offered to do one on something. Open to a good suggestion.

Something thats not incredibly math based though.
