So first question.. How do you feel about cbetting the BDNFD here? we have additional gutshot equity giving us quite a few turn cards that we can barrel on. The only thing that concerns me is that we do have the Ace and thus have a certain amount of showdown equity, and therefore I'm wondering if we should not potentially be looking to x/c rather that raise...?

Second question...The king evidently does not improve our hand but certainly hits our range and possibly a good scare card to barrel, dunno, thoughts ?

You opened from early position, your range is uncapped, and on this board you do have a range advantage so I think a cbet is justifiable.

The K def helps your range and you could make a case for barreling, esp if villain is known to fold to double barrels. If you think villain will be sticky, then giving it up when you turn no additional equity is fine, too.

I think I would only continue barreling if I was blocking flush draws or picked up better equity.

The flop is a clear c-bet. It missed villains' ranges and you have an over, a gutter, and the BDNFD. I like the c-bet since I want to give the villains a chance to fold -- something a check-call doesn't do. Note: if you aren't going to keep the bluff going, don't c-bet in the first place. You have to expect callers, because the flop doesn't hit your range either and there may be flush or, less likely, even straight draws out there. A good villain can use those to get to later streets and try to steal this pot if you show weakness.

The turn is a good scare card that hits your range and, as stated previously, if you are c-betting the flop, you need to follow this one up.

When BTN raises, this is a fold. You are at the bottom of your range.

Nice hand!

dont open a5s utg
cbet smaller
rest is fine imo

@JF11 being at bottom of range, doesn't mean fold. It just means your at the bottom of your range. Reminds of live at bike commentary ~0~;;
