cash games or tourneys

most of my poker life I've played under ground small stakes mtt's and some cash games. I've never had much success at cash games but had a lot more success at tourneys but the touneys pay small between 300-1200. which game should I play to try to make a living at. the problem is that I live pretty far from places that have big tourneys and somewhat close to casinos with cash games with no tourneys or just one or 2 a month. Plus I've always heard that cash games are more better to consistently make a living at, even recently by a poker pro. I like tourneys more but I might like cash more if i had more success at so which game should i play?
