Why would you check the flop rather than c-betting?
And why 4betting at 20bb rather than 30 bb? Wouldn't I have more fold equity at 30bb?

you simply have a very weak hand and you have to give up with some hands

yes a larger 4b gives you more fe but it also implies you 4b a tighter range
66 is part of a very wide range and you would need a smaller 4b size in order to fit hands as weak as 66
