I've seen a bunch of doug polk commentary on why he loves to check-raise the river with a massive 10x pot overbet with a nut flush blocker. Always saw the hands from his perspective so questioned the play was worth it. Now seeing from the other perspective I see why it works..

So you obviously just have a bluff catcher hand now and given the pot odds I just don't think it's worth it to call.

hmm i havent seen dougs vids on this but i was jsut trying to figure out with what can he possibly bombing turn and then c/snap shoving river. just seems fishy. fwiw i did fold because i didnt think about that possiblity during the hand but since this is 5nl and ppl never bluf river (lol) i dont think i wouldve called regardless.

This is a bad spot for x/r river with Kd. Mostly because OP has many SDvalue Ax which simply checks and wins. When V wants to bluff Kdx should go for 3rd barrel. Besides such a hand often gives up brick turn, do not believe V has many bluffs.
Make a sigh disciplined fold.
