AK OOP vs SS

PokerStars - $0.16 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

CO: $6.13
BTN: $34.25
Hero (SB): $18.65
BB: $16.00
UTG: $30.74
UTG+1: $66.93
MP: $17.26
MP+1: $22.92
MP+2: $17.91

Hero posts SB $0.08, BB posts BB $0.16

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.24) Hero has A K

UTG raises to $0.48, fold, fold, MP+1 calls $0.48, fold, CO calls $0.48, fold, Hero raises to $2.08, fold, fold, fold, CO calls $1.60

Flop: ($5.28, 2 players) Q J 6
Hero ???

Short stack only has 25bb. I think I am winning.
If I bet I think I make worse hands fold. Only a better hand is calling.

Do I just check fold?
I think best play is to check raise AI? or is just flipping 25BB just too much here?

thoughts welcome

I don't think you are winning. Even if you catch a pair you could very well be counterfeited. Check-fold sounds good to me (depending on the size of the bet of course). Best result on the flop of course seems for villain to check behind you and give you a free card.

Re: AK OOP vs SS

PF I make your squeeze bigger. Probably like $2.30-2.50 because we are OOP and against a shorter stack.

Against a calling range of :

{JJ+,66,ATs+,KTs+,Kc9c,Kc8c,QTs+,JcTc,Jc9c,Jc8c,AT o+,KTo+,QJo}, we have 60% equity.

x/f is way too nitty. We have 2 overcards, BDNFD, and outs the the nuts.

I either jam flop or crai depending on if the SS is aggro etc.

This was my thinking to bet the flop, but no worse hand would call. I think a CRAI is the best play? that way any bluff you take

Re: AK OOP vs SS

You are on a draw you should go all in a put pressure jx hands and worse the problem with check raising is is your opponent could check back and get a free card
